Meet Reece Huber | Owner & Operations Manager

We had the good fortune of connecting with Reece Huber and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Reece, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I started my own escape room brand after doing business development for another successful franchise and helped them grow to multiple locations. I managed that location, helped to run it, and got experience under my belt. About a year later I opened my own location in Gwinnett. I’ve always been good at puzzles and strategy games plus it seems like an exciting new industry with lots of creative potential. I’ve always known I want to be an entrepreneur from an early age – working for myself, being my own boss and always innovating.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Creatively we had to distinguish ourselves and make sure our escape rooms are competitive and unique enough to stand out from the rest. I’m proud of the fact that all of our escape games are custom written and custom designed, specially curated to appeal to all ages and different difficulty levels based on the specific game. I’ve had to become fairly skilled at marketing by learning how to properly promote our business to corporate business as well as private parties, all the while bringing in new clients.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We like to refer out of towners and family to visit Stone Mountain. It’s only about 25 minutes from our Norcross location Amazing Escape. The view from the top is incredible, and that combined with the hike is great for physical and mental wellbeing. I also like to take family and friends to Lake Lanier which has space for boating and fun in the sun. My wife and I love to eat in the Norcross/Duluth area for all the delicious cuisines – pho, curries and Korean BBQ are some of our favorites amongst many others.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to friends, family and customers who have given us support, reviews and awesome feedback over the years. This has helped to push us to number 1 in the “Fun & Games” category on Trip Advisor in Gwinnett. We greatly appreciate all of you and the support and encouragement you’ve given us and continue to give us. I especially want to give a shout out to my amazing wife, Anna, who’s been there since day one; she’s always positive and has had my back through this exciting and sometimes difficult journey.
