We had the good fortune of connecting with Rashaud Simmons and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rashaud, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
To let go of fear and to be willing and open to learn. Determination is also an important factor, because wanting to be successful brings success!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m most excited about the reactions to the hardwork I apply towards my craft in all aspects. It’s always a great feeling knowing that in trying times you’re being appreciated! I’ve gotten to where I’m at today professionally, mainly by keeping an open mind and knowing that my creativity is limitless. I’m a firm believer in anything is possible if you put your mind to it. I feel like the level of difficulty comes in perception. If you love what you do it’s always fun and easy. So always find something you love, so you can love what you do. Your interest level coincides with how interested you are in whatever you decide to do. I’ve learn that our fears holds us back from spreading our wings. Just know that you are able! You were blessed with the tools from day 1. Now put them to use. I just want to leave the world with the impression that I care and love what I do, so my craft will always represent love and care! Being happy is the key to life so I will always work towards my brand opening that door for my consumers and supporters!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Truthfully if my best friend was visiting the area I would cater to their interests more. I’m not picky and very open minded about trying things, so I would give suggestions on things I think they may enjoy. With me currently staying in Atlanta I would definitely take them to eat at maybe a Pappadeux or a Juicy Crab. I’m a big seafood lover and so are my friends. I would take them to the aquarium or museums because they informative and interesting at the same time! I would also take them to a live jazz concert. Music, food and drinks are always a good setting. I would also leave room for them to choose a place to go especially since they are doing the traveling. I like to be considerate because I know living in big cities has so many things to do that even your guess has planned something already. Lol

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to give a Shout-out to everybody that believed in me and never stop believing. My family and friends who are still near and dear. My 2 sons who can continue to give me purpose in life. Y’all are way more motivating than y’all will ever know. My lady who continues to encourage me to be something that she sees in me even when I don’t see it in myself and that’s being great!
