We had the good fortune of connecting with Priscila Camara and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Priscila, what’s the most important think you’ve done for your children?
I think the most important thing to teach kids is to be kind. I often hear my daughter’s teachers and friends telling me how sweet and polite she is. My goal is for her to become a strong woman yet gentle to others. I ask her every day to be kind and also to understand the world sometimes is not a fair place but we need to stick with what we believe.

What should our readers know about your business?
After almost three years of extensively studying, I feel very comfortable where I’m now. Newborn Photography is extremely technical and requires a lot of knowledge, especially in regards to the baby’s physiology. The biggest challenge, in the beginning, is to be stress about the responsibility of holding someone’s baby. Lucky been a mom myself I knew a lot about babies, but I learned quickly that to have a legit business I needed more. I invested extensively in training related to baby safety and also the posing aspect. Today I offer and small but extremely comfortable studio to accommodate the baby and the parents. I have a state of art photography equipment and all my props and outfits are carefully chosen and sanitized before and after the session. My studio is licensed and insured but the state of Georgia so parents can rest sure they are bringing their baby to a serious business. And yes, I love babies and my time with them is gold. I’m extremely happy to see parent’s reviews on how they love the experience while in my studio.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I have a seven-year-old daughter and to be honest, what we do most is going outdoors. I moved from Jersey four years ago and Georgia for us right now is paradise. I love all the parks we have access to, the nature and lush are incredible here. When we go out most of the time is for dinner and because we are in Alpharetta we tend to be local. My favorite pastry place is a little bakery named Amore Mio, located in Cumming. This year we became a member of the Polo Country Club and their restaurant is amazing, chef Zach’s creates the best dishes.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’m leaving my dream right now on my career and my husband is definitely my biggest support. He invested in me and believed I could make it when I doubt myself. I have been mentoring with a lot of different top photographers and meeting some amazing people in the past three years. I made a great friend named Deborah Koch. She is super talented and humble and I learned a lot with her, and still do.
