We had the good fortune of connecting with Philicia Wallace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Philicia, do you have a favorite quote or affirmation?
My favorite bible verse is Judges 6:14 which says ‘Then the Lord turned to him and said, “Go with the strength you have… I am sending you!” ‘. This verse means so much to me because it reminds me that I am equipped with everything that I need. When you take a big leap of faith like I did you can find yourself struggling to keep up with what you think you should be doing, having the things you see on social media and even wondering if you are doing enough. When I find myself in those moments I repeat this verse to remind me that I already have everything I need and that God is sending which means I am covered!

What should our readers know about your business?
What sets me apart from others is that I am clear that I am on assignment from God and that makes me different because I allow Him to lead every aspect of my business and journey.

What I am most proud of is my progress on this journey and the connections that I have made. Especially with my podcast, it started with me sharing my journey and then God prompted my to add interviews where other black women share their self-doubt journeys. I was so nervous when I started pitching people but to date I have interviewed over 100 women! I am so grateful!

Some of the lessons I have learned along the way is that I am capable of everything that God puts in from of me. I am not my insecurities and that I am deserving of the abundance God has given me.

What I want the the world to know about Slaying Self Doubt™ is that this movement is for every Black women that has ever struggled with insecurities, self-doubt, or fear, letting them know that they are not alone! I am committed to helping you find your fears and SLAY them!

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Well, I have visited ATL a few times and so far my favorite places are Ponce City Market, The Battery Atlanta and Centennial Olympic Park. I am a BIG foodie so the food in Atlanta is everything, Big Dave Cheesesteaks and Mikkeys Retro Grill are my favs!!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
First and foremost God deserves that biggest shoutout because He called me to this assignment that lead me here. He continues to use me in ways that I could not imagine and connect me with people I would not have access to. Next, is my husband, he has been my biggest supporter throughout this entire journey. To this day I Thank my husband for having enough faith in me to take this leap with me. Lastly, would be my village including my parents, sons, sisters and friends, they all have continued to encourage and support me even when I have wanted to give up on myself. Thanksss y’all!
