Meet Perptue Mia | Model & Entrepreneurship

We had the good fortune of connecting with Perptue Mia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Perptue, let’s talk legacy – what do you want yours to be?
My mission is to empower women to feel confident and step into the highest version of themselves. I believe beauty is more than skin-deep, it’s a catalyst for inner power and boldness in every area of life. Through modeling, business, and storytelling, I aim to use my voice to speak up for the ones who aren’t always heard; especially women, children, and the environment. I want everything I create, from campaigns to conversations, to spark confidence, awareness, and action. My legacy would be a supermodel turned billionaire entrepreneur within the beauty space, who does more than look good, but also do good and inspire others to do the same.
By combining my love for beauty with my expertise in marketing, I aim to create experiences and stories that help women shine from the inside out
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
There’s a misconception that modeling is about being pretty or being paid to look good, when that is 100% inaccurate because then everyone would be a successful model. A models job is to make the audience feel something…if you’re really good at your job the feeling motivates the audience to act. Rather it’s to purchase what the brand is selling, connect with a campaigns message, or aspire to the character you’re portraying. I like to think modeling is part acting and movement.
My art is the story I get to tell through the emotions and motions I embody and create. People tend to underestimate when I say I model till they see my Instagram and the response changes to “Oh you really model”. This showed me how important it is to take yourself seriously so others will do the same. I became a professional model when I started carrying myself as a professional. I show up on time, I come prepared with my model bag to castings or on set, I speak to people in a respectful manner, and I’m open to feedback and apply as needed. Anyone can have a business, but not all businesses are professional, so it’s really based on how you conduct yourself.
This journey I’m still walking, isn’t easy, There’s this phrase I love “what’s not working for you is working on you”. Started taking modeling serious during the lowest points in my life, I quit my wig business, evicted from my apartment, car totaled (no injuries to me thank God) when I was supposed to start commuting to Georgia State, and no job. I had no confidence, modeling gave me the confidence to show up in my life not as a victim, but the main character who doesn’t just let life happen to them.
That was the most transformative part, building real confidence, not the surface kind. Confidence is what separates a model from someone who just takes pictures. If you don’t believe in yourself, you won’t post, you won’t pitch yourself, and you definitely won’t walk into a casting room and own it.
What sets me apart is not just my presence on camera, but the energy I bring into every room. People feel GOOD around me. I bring lightness, calm, and a strong sense of purpose, even when the set is chaotic. And on top of that, my background in marketing gives me an edge. I understand branding. I know how to ask: “What story does this brand want to tell?” or “What pose will truly connect with their audience?
I’m excited to one day to not only model for a campaign, but use my creativity and strategy to build a vision AND bring it to life in front of the camera. What supermodel do you know…but that’s the impact I want to have, paid to be more than pretty.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
First things first bestie, I would take them on hike to early morning to Stone Mountain to see the view of the city and get our steps in. After freshening up after I’d take them to brunch at Toast on Lenox they don’t really miss plus they have lychee lemon drop both of favorite drinks in one. Go shopping near Lenox since it’s near.
Next day early breakfast at Le Bon Nosh so good getting the matcha of course then thrift all day and later that night bamba Tuesday for vibes if they still want more vibes VODS after
Not spilling this location but it’s trailhead near a creek so beautiful, massages in buckhead (forgot the name but very good massages) . Spaceman later that night for
cocktails and MCK after for hookah +apps
Aquarium corner for touristy things and Amarr Indian Cuisine not to far for their happy hour and amazing Indian food ( highly recommend the vindaloo and mixed naan)
Walk the beltline and choose a restaurant, then chill at the skate park
Church then Sunday funday at rum punch
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Infinite Appeal Model Organization at Georgia State University taught me the modeling basics, introduced me to the modeling network in Atlanta, and gave me the opportunity to teach models as the Head Model Coordinator. I wouldn’t be where I’m at without the organization, or the coordinators who taught me and other models I’m still connected with.
