We had the good fortune of connecting with Patricia & Kelly Turgeon and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Patricia & Kelly, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My sister and I spent the last 3 years living on a small island in the gulf of Thailand focused on our personal healing journeys. I was battling emotional burnout after years of working in a high stress corporate job and was feeling depleted with an inner knowing that there had to be something more. My sister had a heart attack (at 28 years old) and was seeking some peace and tranquility so she could focus on healing her heart. As we traveled down our own healing paths, we were simultaneously drawn to find a way to bring healing to our beautiful planet. While living on this island, the ocean was our backyard. We experienced firsthand the destructive impact single-use plastic is having on our waters and eco-systems. We found ourselves picking up bags of trash, mainly plastic, as it continually washed ashore day after day. With an inspired vision to transform our sadness and anger into creative passion and be part of the solution, the idea for Bhavana Bottle emerged during a collaborative discussion that came after a creative visualization session. We wanted to create a product that fit the growing need to reduce waste. Our goal was to create beautifully designed bottles that served as a multi-purpose drinking vessel and could replace single use plastic cups for the island. At this time, we were listening to the inspirational audio book, “Hidden Messages in Water” by Dr. Masaru Emoto, the Japanese Scientist and Water Researcher, whose work evidenced that our words, thoughts, and intentions have a direct impact on our physical reality. He did a number of experiments with water and found that the words LOVE and GRATITUDE changed the molecular structure of the water into beautiful symmetrical structures, simply by taping these words to the outside of the glass. We were highly inspired by the findings and felt we wanted to spread this powerful message by incorporating the highest vibrational words and symbols into the designs for Bhavana Bottle. Our hope was that our reusable bottles would serve as a simple reminder to drink in LOVING and GRATEFUL thoughts with every sip. We wanted to empower people to be the change, one sip at a time. Bhavana Bottle became a staple bottle across the island and aiding in reducing single-use plastic use. Now two years later, we are proud to offer our reusable bamboo Bhavana Bottles at over 500+ stores nationwide in the US and Canada. We are so grateful for all our customers who share stories of how our bottles inspire moments of positive inspiration as well as the ability to donate proceeds to support non-profit organizations dedicated to protecting and preserving our beautiful planet. No dream is too big when you have the vision to create an impact, paired with passion and perseverance to pave the path to bring the vision to form. We feel as though we are just getting started and plan to bring to life some really amazing products that will enhance and deliver vibrant water to everyone on the planet.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
One attribute that sets us apart rom other brands is the uniquely engraved high vibrational words and symbols on each bottle that resemble a piece of art and make you feel good when you look upon them. The unique geometric engraving on each of the bottles serves as an elegant reminder to stay hydrated and be conscious of the thoughts and words you send to yourself and those around you throughout the day. We pair sacred geometry and high vibrational words on each of our bottles because we believe that GRATITUDE and LOVE have the power to transform our lives in so many ways. As we mentioned earlier, our bottles were inspired after we read the book Hidden Messages in Water that awakened us to the truth that our thoughts have a profound impact on water and our reality. Just think, over half of our body is comprised of water and we have over 60,000 thoughts in a single day!! If positive words have the power to change water into beautiful geometric shapes, then think about the profound impact of sharing positive thoughts to our bodies, each other and the planet can have on the water we are all made of. Our best piece of advice is to have for aspiring entrepreneurs is to have a clear vision and goal, remain flexible as you grow and stay open to how the path to get there will be presented. Sometimes we think things will unfold a certain way, but it is important to be open to pivoting when new doors open. The path to reach your goal may manifest in an even better way than you could have planned. Never give up on your big vision and allow the synchronicities that come into your life to guide your way.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would take then to all the most beautiful beaches, waterfalls, hikes and natural gems the island of Koh Phangan has to offer. Nature is in abundance on the island and it is very healing to experience the diversity. After a beautiful nature immersion, we would go to one of our favorite, healthy and vibrant local vegan restaurants to experience some of the best freshly made nutritious meals to nourish the body, mind and soul. To end the day we would watch sunset at the world renowned Zen Beach where fire dancers, singers and community gather to say good bye to the sun every day in celebration. Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A book that we both return to many times for inspiration and vision is Becoming Supernatural by Joe Dispenza because it serves as a beautiful reminder of how powerful we truly are and ANYTHING is possible if we believe it is. We are meant to thrive not just survive! The beautiful mandala designs and high-vibe words engraved on each Bhavana Bottle were inspired by the book Hidden Messages Water, written by the Japanese water researcher Dr. Masaru Emoto, whose work evidenced that water responds to our thoughts, words and intentions. This is why all our bottles are engraved with high vibrational words that gently invite the mind back to enjoying the present. We highly recommend this beautiful book to anyone!
