We had the good fortune of connecting with Nikita Williams and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nikita, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“You have to go slow so you can go fast”! This is what true momentum looks like. A mentor shared this with me years ago and it sticks with me every day. Everyone wants to get to their version of success the fastest but not many are willing to slow down and do the intentional work that is need to build the momentum they desire, that will ultimately make your success possible. Just like in life I have come to appreciate the blessing in slowing down and figuring out what really matters. I can create the most impact when I chose to live with this quote in mind and to do it on purpose.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2009 and fibromyalgia in 2010. So to say that my business has been easy to build would be untrue. However, these diagnoses inspired me to use the training I received from previous jobs to jumpstart my career as a business coach. I’ve learned that having a chronic illness does not limit my potential. In fact, it helped me to see the possibilities for myself and my clients. My aim is to help all creative women—especially those who have a chronic illness—to share their story without feeling shame or feeling incapable, and to motivate these brilliant women to use their story as fuel so they can be successful, create the life they deserve, and most importantly, thrive.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Many people have made an impact in my life of course but Renee Hughes a dear friend and amazing mentor has open the door into a world I did not really know about. She’s a Certified Holistic Practitioner & Educator & a Nationally Certified Professional Aromatherapist.
