We had the good fortune of connecting with Nichole Thompson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Nichole, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I always knew that I wanted to help other women and when I left a toxic relationship And experienced a lot of low points in my life, Followed by meeting so many different women that had the same type of story I knew that my story had to help others. I want to motivate women to pull themselves out of whatever dark area they’re facing and tap into something greater. And for young girls to know that they are better than the mistakes that their mothers, aunts, grandmothers may have made.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
By day I’m a healthcare worker. I manage a business office in a large nursing facility. I’ve been in this field for about ten years now and I knew nothing about it coming in. I don’t give up on things easily and I hate to “not know”. It wasn’t easy but I think I’ve done pretty well so far. Although I’m a law enforcement major, after relocating to GA, I found myself back in healthcare and I’ve been running with it ever since. I love what I do, I love working with the elder community and I love getting to meet and interact with different people on a daily basis.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend were in town for a week, I’d take her to Atlanta to explore. I love to try new food places so we would go to the Breakfast Club for Brunch, Wine tasting, I love Cinnaholics Cinnabon’s in Edgewood, I also love live music so maybe St. James live in Camp Creek or Sweet Georgia’s Juke Joint if they ever open back up…free promo for everyone lol!.. I also like walking the Beltline and people watching. I just really started moving around the city within the last year so I still consider myself as a newbie, I love to sight see and try new things. She and I would have a blast exploring.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I definitely could t have gone through and gotten through some pretty hard times without my therapist. Spent a lot of sessions crying and processing with her but it made me better, wiser, stronger. After all, the only way out of something is THROUGH. My mother and children are my biggest cheerleaders. I’m a single mom of three girls so finding and practicing that self love and accountability is a big deal to me. I want them to learn early what I learned late.
