We had the good fortune of connecting with Nicholas Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nicholas, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It all stemmed from getting fired from a job in all transparency. From that point on I decided that I would no longer strive to work for someone else but instead strive to make the most of myself as a person and as a member of society. I got inspired by Pushman Mitch who was and still is a buddy of mine from college when I saw him making major moves in the car rental space and had became a mentor to others. I decided to reach out to him for mentorship and attended a mastermind event he hosted and that basically kicked off my entrepreneurial journey.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My company is German Boy Automotive: Luxury Mobile Detailing. GBA Is the umbrella organization for many more things to come in the automotive industry. For now we have our Luxury Mobile Detailing up and running and what sets us apart from a lot of the other is our attention to detail. We really do treat every vehicle like it’s our own which means respecting the customers property and trying our absolute best to achieve the expected results and customer satisfaction. We are still very much in the growing stages we are no where near where we wish to be but the journey is a marathon and we will keep on pushing until we are the #1 name in car detailing. There’s obstacle of course, there will be in any journey but the key is to understand that with effort and consistency all obstacle can be hurdled or bulldozed over! As CEO i have learned that we make our own success and we only get out as much as we put it, that’s my biggest take away owning this business. I want the world to know that we operate from a place of love and wish the success of everybody, we exist in the creative plane not in the plane of competition! – “The science of getting Rich”
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I’m not really one to get out much but there are a few places I would want to show anyone visiting Atlanta. One would be Atlantic Station because you have shops and various restaurants you can enjoy a meal at. I would also suggest a walk around downtown Atlanta seeing that you never know wat you will see and get into just walking around with the locals. Downtown is a beauty at night with so many different bars and lounges to choose from if your looking to party or enjoy a drink. My club of choice is Opium/SPK on Central Ave. It’s so much to get into from waterfalls in Roswell to Stone Mountain park, the zoo and aquarium and not to mention all the concerts and events the city host on an almost regular basis!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to give a major shoutout to Pushman Mitch and his brother RaShawn for really inspiring me to go out and get it. Mitch is a great mentor he really taught me a lot in a short time frame about mindset and being a contrarian. Also shoutout to Wes Watson, we never met but his book “Non-negotiables” which is a great read, really motivated me to structure out my days better and learn to stack wins. Also my family of course who always supports me no matter what decisions I make in life so shoutout to Dad and my big brother Vincent!
