We had the good fortune of connecting with Neko TheJungleChild and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Neko, have you ever found yourself in a spot where you had to decide whether to give up or keep going? How did you make the choice?
If it’s something you wake up and still dream about it’ll never be good enough to just give up. Have you ever felt like you were made for something? If so how could you grow old thinking how you let your chance pass by? I know when to keep going because I understand how easy it is to quit and go the other route. If it’s truly something you’re passionate about giving up wouldn’t be an option.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Since I was young my only dream was to become a music artist..Rap to be exact. I claimed I was an artist 19 years of my life without recording one song at all just knew what I would do when that time came. I got the chance finally and years in i even proved to myself I wasn’t just talking all those years I had really became who I saw. Coming in the game with just years of talking but no music out or heard I finally debuted my first EP “JungleChild” which brought me more than I knew. Working, recording from sun up to sun down finally had caught up with me no matter how many broke days and no results I seen. Far from easy but I enjoyed it more because I really had to earn the criticism I got back. I learned dreams come true then and 1 thing I want people to know about is I come from poverty so don’t ever let your excuses or environment control your destiny !
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would take them to the city or downtown area.. something about my city has always made me feel like I can be great . It’s so much inspiration just the feeling itself you understand what type of world we live in .
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
In the times I see the ones who motivate you not just on fundamentals but mentally play a huge part in who you are. Through pressuring times and life itself you kind of need someone who always views you as a star even when in return you don’t view yourself. For this reason CrownCulture CEO & Creative Director deserves this shoutout , very encouraging and honest person and businessman.
