Meet Mylira Green | Licensed Clinical Social Worker and CPR to People Life’s Purpose

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mylira Green and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mylira, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
I can say my pain is what served as my initial inspiration. In my core, I felt like I was not the only one who have felt the feelings of shame, being invisible, and simply misunderstood. I knew in my knowing that I was not the only person who had been victimized by others who were also in pain. My enlightening moment happened when I was 17 years old and I said enough is enough. Three seconds before I could put the poisonous concoction I had created from all of the liquid cleaning supplies under my bathroom sink, to my mouth, my dad broke in the door providing CPR to the purpose I was born with….to be the voice for the voiceless.
This once three year old exposed to sexual experiences by family members, pre-teen who struggled with her sexuality until she felt in her being her definition of “normal” play was not that normal, thirteen to sixteen year old promiscuous girl just trying to feel normalcy again, leading to her being raped at 16 making room for her silent struggle with depression and anxiety become projected like a bullhorn is now a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Confidence Coach, Transformative Speaker, and Reiki Master providing CPR to other people purposes. Something that started in my pain body has now become my purpose and God’s purpose for me is what now serves as my inspiration. I always tell people “my soul’s purpose is so big, I’m just waiting for my flesh to catch up”. I truly mean that. I promised myself that my children story would not replicate mines and if I could just inspire others to see that they are enough, regardless of their life story, I have done my life’s work.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I am the owner and CEO of M. Green Enterprises LLC. As a Licensed Clinical Social Work, I serve as a psychotherapist, Confidence Coach, Reiki Master, and Transformative Speaker. I strive to provide the world with preventative services to lower the number of individuals in mental health facilitates while helping individuals grow from a caterpillar to a butterfly! As a wife and a mother, I quickly realized I had to become the solution to the problems I saw in this world and began to work with children and women to become unstuck and motivated to confidently reach their goals while owning their gifts. With eight years of experience assisting individuals addressing their mental and emotional health, I am ready to help God’s kingdom find their best selves.
What sets me apart from others is I have created a perfect marriage between my life’s experiences and expertise to serve as armor for me as I throw myself in other people’s hell to rescue them like my dad did the night that almost ended in my demise. I am able to transform into whatever an individual need to be the image of themselves they are destined to be.
Being a business owner has not been easy for me at all. My company has been alive for 5 years and 90% of the services I have provided have been Pro Bono. My greatest struggle is exposure and finding the people who find the value in my services and committed to their own transformation to invest in it. What keeps me going daily is the fact that my business is a reflection of God’s purpose for my life. I believe transforming the lives I come in contact with will one day result in revenue flowing in with least resistance. But until then, I continue to show up in light and love proving coaching sessions, reiki experiences, and transformative workshops and speeches to encourage people to continue pressing forward because they are enough.
I want the world to know that my brand was created to change how mental health is viewed and addressed around the world. Everyone with a brain has a mental health and it’s important that people understand the power of their thoughts and their ability to transform their minds. I created the I’m Enough Movement to begin this mental shift. This movement is designed to facilitate wholeness in you when you are done with the feeling of brokeness brought on by living a life you believe others want you to live. This short statement is meant to boost your self-esteem with the hopes of increasing the presence of happiness within your innerself, resulting in living a true fulfilled life. Learning the art of just being you is the first step to transitioning from a caterpillar to the beautiful butterfly you are designed to be!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my Bestfriend came here for the weekend I would take her to Megan Jennifer-Harris 75minute Foundational Skills Tuning Session to balance out her chakras through the use of sound. I would take her to Trannisha Brown’s Bombshell Beauty Supply Store to get her natural hair products that promote natural growth. We would then go get our make up done by Sequoia Burris and nails done by Amber Phillips to hit up Dominique and Nick of 360 Arts and Productions pop up photoshoot to feel like the queens we are.
We would then hit up my sis Kaylen Brown of Real Food Meal Prep to see if she had a vegan meal we could eat that we will wash down with my cousin Carl Hale’s GingerHale that would knock any germs related to COVID out of our body.
We would legit just spend time relaxing and vibing together, ending our night on the private side of the Virginia Beach Boardwalk to just enjoy conversation about our future while pulling from the moon’s energy.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to make a shout out to my mentor Oteila “Mrs. Peaches” Ponton Reid. In a season where no one really saw I was in pain, she did and poured love onto and into me every chance she got. She is the main reason I pursued becoming a social worker. Her ability to see beyond societies labels for me (I.e. middle class African American girl from a two parent household) truly saved my life and allowed me to see that on the other side of my pain, I had a purpose. For that I owe her acknowledgment for the success on my career that I have had because without her I have no idea what I would have turned my pain into.
My parents, Michael and Myra Childs also deserve some credit because they gave me all that they had to me and my brother growing up. Although my life was not spotless and I dealt with trauma, my parents have always showed up in their best and laid a solid foundation that I now stand firm on.
Lastly, my husband and Bestfriend Willie Green III surely is the rib who completes me. Many say no person should complete you, but heck my husband do. God truly thought about me when he created the man my husband is. Because of my husband, I was able to see a reflection of how God truly loves me. This has resulted in me growing confident in the queen I was created to be and show up in all of my various roles in life with my head up high because I am the best me there is. My husband truly helped me see me and for that I’m forever grateful.
