We had the good fortune of connecting with Monica Swint, BSN RN and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Monica, how do you think about risk?
Risk are necessary to become successful. Taking major risk in business have played a huge part in my career. I look at risk as betting on myself. If I don’t take a chance on myself, who else will?

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Through Monica Swint Consulting, LLC brand, We help nurses launch their Med Spa/Drip Bar Also sharing practical solutions that allow clients to up-level their thinking and learn efficient and scalable skills, increasing awareness and helping them build towards a successful nursing career in the hospital setting/medspa industry. We also consult physicians and assist with integrating an Infusion Center into their existing practice. I’m known in the nursing community at Mo the “Vein Whisperer”. I teach nurses to master IV Insertion skills. The thing that set me apart is my positive energy that I bring when I teach. I’m most proud that I allowed myself to pivot and grow.

The road to success is never as smooth as we would hope it to be. I’ve learned with owning a few other businesses to enjoy the journey. A few struggles along the way are learning the language of consulting such as how to write proposals, how to price certain projects and borrowing capitol. With being a woman of color, sometimes we are not taken seriously which means I have to work extra hard to make sure all my business portfolio is up to date to stay business loan ready.

One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in business is networking can get you in doors/tables that sometimes money can not!. Continue building authentic relationships and never trade your integrity for an opportunity.

We are the leading consulting firm in the Med Spa industry. “If you have a problem, we have the solution!”

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was visiting I would make lunch reservations at Poor Calvin’s in Midtown Atlanta of course. We both love wine so we would go to Chateau Elan for wine tasting, day spa, and dinner.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank my family for always supporting my visions & dreams. They have supported me from day one.
