We had the good fortune of connecting with Maurice Sutton and Jasmine Heard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Maurice and Jasmine, how do you think about risk?
Take a risk, or lose the chance is how we think about risk taking. You either take a risk which could result in success or failure OR not take a risk at all and just fail. Risk taking has played a major role with the startup of our vending machine business and in our overall lives. With risk taking, anything can happen. You can fail many times, but you can succeed many times. It will make you feel many different emotions, however, this is what’s making us into the individuals we are striving to be. Risk taking is what’s going to make an entrepreneur successful!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Maurice and Jasmine met each other at Georgia State University, and both graduated together one year ago. Both went on to be educators (in high school) immediately after graduation. In addition of being an educator, Maurice is a football coach and motivational speaker. In addition to being an educator, Jasmine is a graphic designer. It hasn’t been the easiest road getting to where we are, but with determination, hard work, and consistency, many things are working in our favor. Some of the lessons we’ve both learned along the way include: always work twice as hard as you play, understanding that life is 10% of what happens to you and 90% of how you react, and anything worth having doesn’t come easy.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of our favorite spots to eat include: Toast on Lenox, Toscano’s, The Cheesecake Factory, and Patria Cocina Some of our favorite drink spots include: Nine Mile Station, Augustine’s, and Kimball House
Our favorite places to hangout include: Atlantic Station, Beltline, cigar bars, Pin& Proper, game arcades
