We had the good fortune of connecting with Matthew Heyliger and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Matthew, career-wise, where do you want to be in the end?
My end goal for my career is to be known as a top 5 Men’s Physique Coach! Secondly I would like to be 100% online with clients overseas. My biggest passion is traveling and this would allow me to work from any place I so choose.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I am essentially a fitness coach both online and in person.I My approach to coaching emphasizes appropriate macronutrient based nutrition and periodization programming with a specific focus on combining hypertrophy and health for practical use in both competitors and lifestyle clients . I establish long-term client interactions with the goal of integrating exercise and optimal wellness into the demands of daily life for long term permanent adherence .

The main lesson I have learned in business would be to invest in yourself . That means marketing, continued learning, and most importantly mentorship. Every mentor I have had, has taught me practical knowledge that would have taken me 3x as long to gather.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Atlanta is a huge city with many options to visit. However, along the way we would have to stop at Ponce City Market and walk the beltline to Krog Street Market . Both markets have limitless places to drink and eat if that is what you are looking for . Lastly I would bring my friend The Battery . Aside from the obvious option of going into Truist Stadium for a Braves game, The Battery has everything from a cigar bar, to an escape room.

Over the last year I have been in a mentorship program under my friend, coach and business partner Rachel Reiche . Not only has she given me priceless information but she also has showed me processes that have made me more efficient and a better closer/coach!
