We had the good fortune of connecting with Matevia Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Matevia, how does your business help the community?
The need to rebuild a bridge back to a healthy balance manifests differently for each of us. For some, it’s a listening ear or mindfulness. For others, it may be more exercise or physically caring for the skin they’re in. Who can we trust to provide self-care for us outside of our home is limited. The pandemic is the obvious reason for this social shift, but it isn’t an excuse to not have a healthy balance. I know it’s easier said than done, but I too have been identifying what is, practicing ME time, wellness, and trying to maintain a healthy skin regimen. I really feel that now is the perfect time to focus on positive growth and to safely introduce a healthy balance to my community. What better way to accomplish this than with the new look of my brand! We’re bringing you all of the vibrant feelings, skin-timate connections, and honest heartfelt experiences you need to rebuild the relationship with yourself and others.
What should our readers know about your business?
I am more than just a brand of research and information. For me, it’s a commitment between skincare and wellness through clarity and integrity with my products. My brand is a way to rebuilding a bridge back to a healthy balance in my community because so many are battling mental and physical health concerns. I decided to combine my past professional career of research and investigations with my holistic knowledge of essentials oils. Understanding this lifelong journey is more than just what products you use. It’s a combination of products, food, mental health, and your overall self-care and wellness. What sets you apart from others? My ” I PROMISE” commitment. “I Promise” I promise to only offer cleaned sourced, organic, and cruelty-free ingredients using our “Simple.Natural.Effective” method. I believe in doing so, it keeps my brand honest, offers transparency, and builds trust. What you are most proud or excited about? I’m most proud and excited to help others and give back to the community in ways people are least expecting. When I say least expecting I mean through skincare. Giving back in this way helps people to have a relatable experience to build trust in. Being excited about skincare products is just the minimal effect. Essentially. It helping cultivate healthy habits, awareness, self-care, wellness, and mindfulness. How did you get where you are today business-wise? Honestly, it’s from my relentless commitment to help others, sheer determination, tenacity, and passion to help people overcome their circumstances. By leaps and bounds, it was not easy and it’s ever-changing! However, I’m up for the challenge! How did you overcome the challenges? I’m no different than anyone else. I to deal with frustration, everyday family issues, and unexpected circumstances of life. I find solace in the expression of healthy conversation, crying, recreating meals found on Diners, Drive-Ins, and Dives (on the Food Network). What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way? One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned has been to allow things to come. Don’t force it! Do all things with preparation. You must have good and healthy intentions behind everything! What I want the world to know about my brand and story? The need to rebuild a bridge back to a healthy balance manifests differently for each of us. For some, it’s a listening ear or mindfulness. For others, it may be more exercise or physically caring for the skin they’re in. Who can we trust to provide self-care for us outside of our home is limited. Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting me we would definitely have to eat at Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen and The Beautiful Restaurant. I absolutely love their flavorful culinary dishes! I enjoy nature wholeheartedly so we would definitely have to visit Old Mill Park in Rosewell. Netflix and chill have always been one of my favorites. I would also drive about 2 1/2 hrs to Chattanooga, TN to stay for a day or two and rent a place on the mountains for more thrill and relaxing moments. The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Veronica Ashley-Reid- My Growth Coach She challenged me in ways I did not envision. I came to her with what I thought was a complete plan to grow and scale my business to the next level. What I wasn’t expecting was so much personal growth. I was so stuck on what I thought I wanted and needed to move forward. During and outside of our coaching session she worked with all my feelings of being overwhelmed, stress, fears, expectations and understand. She was determined to see me through the process. What most people don’t understand in business is, it’s actually LIFE. There are no certainties in life or business. You aim for the best strategy, plan, pivot, and turn, but ultimately nothing is for sure. V helped me organize my vision, streamline my plan, be comfortable and confident in it.
