We had the good fortune of connecting with Mariana Betancur and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mariana, how does your business help the community?
When I founded Crebe and so long before I was wishing to create a business that not only thrived but also made a positive impact in the world, that’s when after years of searching for the right problems to address, I discovered solutions and committed myself to ongoing learning to make Crebe a place where people can feel free of embracing their vulnerabilities to start creating the life that resonates with their true selves so that can create a good impact in their surroundings as well.

In Crebe we believe that everybody was CREated to BE, so with different tools, workshops, and spaces we empower individuals to reflect on their lives, appreciate the little moments that are making our life beautiful and at the same time don’t be afraid to face their shadows and start healing to fully inhabit their lives with freedom and authenticity.

We cheer for a world with people loving what they do and who they are in this life.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’m originally from Colombia and moved to the United States three years ago. Since I was 15 years old, my biggest dream was to become an entrepreneur to help people on a path that would improve their lives. Being a foreigner in the United States I realized that I had so much access to information and support that I didn’t even know I could have in my country before.

I tried many businesses like fashion brands, wellness products, floral arrangements, gift boxes, graphic design and many more things. Each experience was a step towards understanding my purpose in life, I put together this experience and educated myself about the human mindset, mental patterns, healing processes and life design and then I realized that we need more spaces where we can remind ourselves of the privilege of having a life and how much we can do with it so I decided to create Crebe (CREated to BE) as a source of information, community and support to start living feeling fulfilled every day.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I am a huge fun of nature and culture so I would definitely recommend going to Helen, especially if you can go to celebrate Oktoberfest and enjoy the magic of having so many cultures together in the United States. Also, the Atlanta Botanical Garden is an amazing place to share with your family and see the beauty of nature, and for food you can go to Ponce City Market in Atlanta, lots of fun, cocktails and delicious food!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I feel truly blessed to have an incredible support network, and I want to dedicate this to these special people who always believed in me and continue to support me, Victor my husband has been an important piece in my process, he has taught me how to enjoy my dreams but at the same time how to create them with my feet on the ground, my parents who build in me this strength and sensitivity towards the world, Nataly García, my best friend who believes in Crebe since day 1 and Nathaly Loaiza who always has that message from God remembering me to believe in my steps, as she told me one day: “Remaining in our comfort is a disservice to ourselves and to those around us.”
