We had the good fortune of connecting with Madelyn Dover and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Madelyn, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I have been a creative my entire life. I took an art class every year that I went to school. Those art classes not only helped me find a passion of mine, but gave me a place to express myself and also de-stress. Art is my happy place. I’ve fallen in love with many types of art over time; drawing, painting, sculpting, digital, photography, videography and now modeling. I know in my heart that I have to pursue a creative career because that’s what I’ve always been. I don’t think life would be worth it without people being able to express themselves through art and make it as creatives.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art, regardless of the media, is me speaking to people in ways that I cannot vocally. With art, I can make whatever I see or I can be whoever I feel. I am really proud of the modeling work I have done so far. I think I have come a long way in the few months that I have been doing this in GA. It has been very challenging to learn how to market myself, focus on social media, schedule photoshoots around my job, etc. This is still a learning experience for me every day. I have learned that the public eye sees through trends and those trends change quickly, so you must adapt yourself to those changes, whether it be through what kind of content you create to how you promote your work. In a way, you make yourself a business. I want the world to know that I am here to create, explore and experience. I want to base my life around those things and continue growing as a person, professional and a brand.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would make sure to take them to Centennial Olympic park for a relaxing picnic. I would take them to see the city’s nightlife, maybe see a live music show or a stand up comedy show at the Laughing Skull and visit some cool bars like Tiki Tango. There are some really awesome restaurants I would take them to as well, like Buena Vida Tapas, Slutty Vegan, Playa Bowls, etc. Honestly there’s a lot to do

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I am proud of myself because I have had to grow and learn a lot in order to pursue this career & build a brand out of myself. I also want to recognize my partner Noah for always supporting me, as well as my family.
