We had the good fortune of connecting with Lindy Picciotti and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lindy, what do you attribute your success to?
Being successful is obviously such a reward when owning a business, but to me it is so important to make an impact on people. You can be successful by making a lot of money, or by constantly staying booked, but with my business I want people to keep coming back because they feel loved, valued, important, and beautiful, every single time they work with me. That’s the most important thing to me. I want every client to receive love from me when we work together, but also to feel a new level of confidence like they’ve never experienced when they get their photos back.
Please tell us more about your work. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
Photography is an industry that has always been popular, but I feel like over the last 5+ years its become very popular. This is where comparison comes in. I think my biggest struggle in my career was feeling like I wasn’t successful enough because I would compare my season of life to other peoples seasons. I have learned to be content with the season God has me in. Ive learned that people will choose me, and not to find my value in the fact that I won’t be everyones first choice. I think what sets me apart from other photographers is my candid, documentary style photos. My goal is to always make my clients feel like we are just hanging out, goofing out, laughing a ton, and enjoying the moment. I capture all the moments during, and in between. Im so excited to see where my business continues to take me. Ive been to Vegas, Utah, Paris, and many more locations getting to do what I love. It wasn’t easy getting here but I have worked so hard and wouldn’t trade it for the world. Ive prayed for these days so many times, and now I am living in them. I feel so blessed and thankful for all the support that surrounds me.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I couldn’t have made it this far without the support of my family, and friends. They’ve encouraged me and supported me since the beginning and gave me such confidence when taking that leap of faith in owning my own business and running with it.
