We had the good fortune of connecting with Linda Baker and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Linda, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
The most important lesson I learned with my business is to never give up , no matter what downfalls you may run into or if the support isn’t all the way there NEVER GIVE UP! You never know who’s watching you may run into your big break sooner than you think .. with that being said I just continue to keep my head high continue to be humble, and lash my butt off soon my lash brand “ Alluringminkz” will be worldwide!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
How did I get myself where I am today professionally? God without God none of this would be possible also my family and clients. It hasn’t been an easy journey as I’ve recently went back on campus to school so I had to slow down on my lash business…. It didn’t work out to well lol I’m taking a break from school and actually pursing what I want to do because I know what I am capable of whether I have the support or not. One day I will have to sit down and write me a book to give insight on my life but until then it’s time to put my brand AlluringMinkz on the map not only just lashing but other things and other businesses just stay tuned !

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My favorite places to hang out in Montgomery would be Hookah House , Freeze Daiquiri Bar & Grill, Wing House , Vybez , And Euphoria anywhere there’s a hookah Im there lol but they also have great food and drink as well. Also another place I would like to recommend is “ Sum Na’ Eat “ you won’t be disappointed food is A1!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The people I would want to give credit to are my loyal clients, I have a few clients who’s been with me from the beginning of my lash journey who has turned into family from lashing in my mom’s house to lashing at my uncle’s shop they’ve seen my growth and never doubted me ! I also want to shine the light on my uncle who knew from the beginning when I first started my lash business that I was going to go further in the cosmetology/entrepreneurship/aesthetician industry as well as my friend Amari who is now deceased.
