We had the good fortune of connecting with Lilly’s Shea and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lilly’s, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Lilly’s Shea was birthed out of a need to relieve eczema and help the skin retain moisture. Our founder, Alexis D, experienced a major eczema flare up on her face and from there decided to make her own products with natural ingredients. In the birthing of our ‘Bounce Back Butta’, she was able to clear he breakout. Lilly’s Shea is in a mission to help others heal on their skin care journey. This is the thought process behind our business.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
What sets Lilly’s Shea apart from the rest is that we are devoted to serving our community and providing insight, and resources in regards to skin care. We are very proud that our BB Butta patches on to the skin; keeping it moistures through out the entire day. Weather it’s warmer or colder weather, we fit the mold.

As a company, we are still in the beginning phases of our business. It has been an interesting ride and we continue to learn best practices and how to serve our community.

All in all, we are learning to trust the process. This will only make us stronger and wiser as we grow.

We want the world to know that there is cruelty free skincare made with 100% natural ingredients, commented to improved skin conditions. Don’t get caught ashy!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a company our favorite place would have to be back hone in Ghana Africa. This is where our Shea butter originates. But as for Atlanta, we’ll give our founder the mic for this one.

As the founder of LS one of my favorite places in ATL would have to be anything food related. Although I’ve been on a fitness journey that will never take my love for food away! I would love to stop by The Garden Room for a beautiful night in Buckhead, the best day it will be a bit more chill as I take over the skating rink while trying not to fall to the floor.

Next I thing taking a tour of the Black Hair Museum and grabbing som Felini’s Pizza! So good and authentic! And to close out the week a stroll through Piedmont Park ALWAYS does the job!

That’s all I would do with my Beat friend in the city.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
We would like to shout out all of our eczema warriors and customers who have believed in our mission! Our goal is to continue to serve them and build long lasting relationships!

We Love you Guys!
