We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Wilson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Leah, why did you pursue a creative career?
LeahRonise Unlimited Creations

I did not purposely pursue a creative path. I believe I was born to create. Ever since I was in elementary school and we had art classes, I fell in love with art. As I gotten older and the more money I got I started purchasing arts and craft supplies. And to this very day, I create, make and teach craft classes.
Creating is a way of self expression. I can go from sewing to woodworking to jewelry making and the list goes on and on.
Right now I get more pleasure out of teaching than selling my designs. When I was in high school I participated in a tailoring sewing class. I decided to give myself a name, which is LeahRonise Unlimited Creations. After that I went to New York to pursue fashion design and I loved it. The ability to create gives me the freedom to express myself in ways I can’t explain.
I get the most pleasure when one of my students come up to me and thank me for introducing them to whatever I am teaching. When I am asked what would I do for free. It is creating that is truly my passion. Creating is a Gift from God to share with the world. The name of my business LeahRonise Unlimited Creations. The key word is Unlimited. Thank you.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I consider my work as Creative work of Art. That means I don’t limit myself to just one our two things. I consider myself a creative designer of many things. Either I come up with an idea from something I’ve seen or someone gives me an idea I can make something from that. I always my thoughts run through my mind is like hwy 285 at 5pm.

What I think that sets me apart from others is I want to help you bring your designs to life. I can hear someone say “I wonder what it would look like if.” Then I would use my many tools to create something close to what I heard them say.

I believe I am where I am because I purposely surround myself with positive uplifting people who may or may not do what I do. The easy part being creative. But the hard part is getting people to purchase the things I make. The internet makes it easy to keep up with the trends. My thing is I don’t give up. I love creating and putting smiles on other peoples faces.

I want people to know that whatever I do or make or teach is going to be my best work. I will put my name on it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
It all depends on what the season is. I hope it in the summertime. In that case we will start our morning out at my local Waffle House because I love a good breakfast. Then after breakfast we will take a trip to one of the outlet . Then for a midday luncheon we can try we will eat at Carrabbas restaurant for some mussels.

Since we are in the area we I’ll go over to the SkyView Atlanta and ride the Ferris wheel if my guest is not afraid of heights. For dinner we will eat at Ray’s In The City for seafood dinner.

The third day will be ladies day out. First of all we will go to the spa. The Green Tree Day Spa. Iis where you can have relaxing body massage.spa in Douglasville Ga. After our massage we will go to Arden’s Garden and purchase a healthy smoothie. We can pickup a light dinner before retiring at home.

The fourth day, we will go horseback riding at Soofa Ranch-Stretch out on Faith Again..Reservations have to be made in advance .For dinner we will find a lite meal.

The last day, we can rent bikes and get on one of the trails. We will try the Atlanta Beltline Eastside trail. We can end our wonderful week at Fogo Surf & Turf.
What a great and fun time we had together.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to first give the greatest shout out to my Lord And savior Jesus Christ. The next one on my list is my mother. She always has been an inspiration to me. We do a lot of the same things she encourages me in whatever I do. My husband comes up next. He also encourages me to try new things. He even go as far as to help buy some of my equipment. My aunt help paid for me to go to fashion design school in New York.
The next ones that are on my list are the people I have worked with and met through other people over the past 25 plus years. They allowed me to either make something for them or buy something from me and let me teach a class or to for them. My friend Sherri Gordon, is a life Coach and an entrepreneur. She let me cohost at class to empower women when I first met her. I want to give a shout out to Terri Carter. When we started working together we collaborated together to do classes together called “Cooking and Crafting.
God has always brought people in my life to help me promote, teach and inspire me and my business. There are some many other wonderful people that I can thank, but I will stop right here.
