We had the good fortune of connecting with Lauren Cook and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lauren, what do you attribute your success to?
Authenticity goes a long way, and is an important factor in the success of my brand, Shop LuvLC. There are so many options when choosing online boutiques, they’re almost a dime a dozen. “Who are you able to trust with wardrobing an important event? Who always has honest reviews?”. These are the questions consumers have when shopping, especially shopping somewhere new. Being authentic and reliable while delivering on my brand’s promise of affordable stylish clothing builds rapport and trust that creates customer retention and loyalty. Over 40 percent of my customers are repeat shoppers. I try to create memorable experiences for those who spend their hard earned money with us. Whether it be something as simple as a follow up email, going the extra mile and adding a free piece to an order, or I’ve gone as far as sourcing an out of stock item for a customers birthday. All of these things speak to the reputation of my brand and the authentic commitment I have to my customers. Word of mouth is the best advertisement, and it’s free.
 
 
What should our readers know about your business?
I am the owner of Shop LuvLC. We started as an online women’s boutique and will be heading to Castleberry Hill area location of Atlanta in February of 2022 with our first retail location. I started my business during the pandemic out of my kitchen and I am so proud to have grown my business to fulfilling hundreds of orders weekly and supplying wholesale for other small businesses. I got where I am by researching and putting in the work. I dedicated hours to YouTube and learning systems that could strategically grow my business. One of my biggest personal strong suits is that I am a people person. Creating connections with my customers built retention and trust. I would chat with them about their birthdays, holiday outfits and everything in between when they would email me questions. I was an unknown brand to them and going the extra mile would win them over. Soon I had my own little community of dedicated shoppers. The road to get where I am was not easy, but it has been fun. The key has been to look at every mishap as a teachable moment and to not let customers feel any disruption in operations. I want the world to know that Shop LuvLC is growing! We will always be here to give a pleasurable shopping experience, whether online or in stores soon.
 
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would definitely say Fellaship Cigar Lounge, Gocha’s Breakfast Bar, The Selfie Museum, Rock Steady and Blu Seafood
