We had the good fortune of connecting with Latyna M. Humphrey and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Latyna M., is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
What I believe to be the most important factor behind my successes is my ability to thoroughly understand that the people and the communities of which I serve are the foundation of my career. My call to service is a lot greater than any accolade I’ve ever received. I have said all of that to say, that I have created my success based off of being a helping hand. I’ve dedicated my life to African American communities and continue to make great strides daily toward strengthening those communities. In turn, that has allowed my business to expand. To that end, the name of my business is called Latyna M. Humphrey, LLC. Essentially, what I do is develop leaders in civic and political spaces. As well as mentor and coach women in personal and professional spaces. Whether that is through 1 on 1 coaching sessions, webinars, keynotes or workshops. I refer to myself as the Political & Lifestyle Strategist. I am an author, rising community leader, speaker and community relations professional. Bottom-line, is that I have created my success based off of being a resource to others. Separately, I REALLY do believe that small businesses grow based off of authenticity and the ability to produce tangible results. So, in my case I continue to show my supporters that I produce results and that has allowed me to consistently enlarge.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
As I mentioned previously, the name of my business is Latyna M. Humphrey, LLC. We seek to develop women in political & civic spaces. In addition to mentoring women in professional spaces. What I believe sets my business apart is that I have created my success based off of being a resource to the underserved. I’ve dedicated my life’s work to black & brown communities and I continue to make strides daily. Truthfully, my authenticity is glaring and that has allowed my business to grow in a multitude of numbers.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
First and foremost, I am recommending us to get up EARLY to have brunch at the “The Real Milk & Honey”. Their chicken & waffles are to die for! Then we would head to the Lenox Square Shopping Mall, the Nike store is immaculate. In addition to that, we would go to “Old Lady Gang Southern Cuisine” for lunch. Immediately, we would go for a wine tasting at “Highland Fine Wine”.
There’s always so MUCH to do in Atlanta! So, it’s equally beneficial to go with the flow!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
There are always so many people to shoutout!
But, seriously I’ve got to shout out my good sis, Attorney Jalyn Parks & J. Parks firm! If it had not been for her encouraging me to take a leap of faith with my business, I would have not have started as soon as I did.
So shout-out to Attorney Jalyn Parks!
