Hi Lashawnda, what do you attribute your success to?
For me, the most important factor is my faith and my support system. I’m so grateful that I was blessed with the type of people I have around me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Well, I’m a model and entrepreneur. I’ve been modeling for 6 years and my brand is called High Class Cosmetics. I’m proud of myself for taking the risk to become who I am today. It definitely wasn’t easy. I’ve had people close to me place their own fears onto me. For a while I allowed that to hinder me. I had to realize that God wouldn’t place something on my heart if I wasn’t meant to pursue it. I’ve learned that even if everyone doesn’t believe in your dreams, you have to always remember to believe in yourself! I do what I do to inspire and encourage people to go after their goals and do what makes them happy!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I really don’t go to many places in Atlanta unless I’m modeling. I would definitely take them to Hattie B’s Hot Chicken. The food is good and it’s a great atmosphere.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to Kendrick Carter, My two close friends Alexus Gervin and Kemie Landin, My sister Edbonie Benefield, My family, and everyone who has truly supported me along my journey.
