We had the good fortune of connecting with Lanota Fludd and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lanota, what’s the most important lesson your business/career has taught you?
Life is full of lessons and so is business. My largest lesson in owning a business is flexibility and creativity. Change is constant. As a result it has been imperative to be flexible so that when things change arise you are able to adapt.
Creativity is also necessary to run a business. Everything from a business aspect be it designing my logo to promotion requires creativity. Most importantly working with clients require creativity. Everyone has different needs and using various methods clinically as a therapist ensures I can best serve ever individual.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I have been in business for a couple of years and I know that what sets me apart is my level of compassion. My goal is to work with my clients in a way that is not only therapeutic but also kind. I operate off the believe that you treat people how you would want to be treated and my consistency in this is what I am most proud of in my business. It has not been easy and I have gotten where I am through determination and persistence. My largest lesson in owning a business is to not get stuck on the uncontrollable. As a business owner I want people to know that my business about providing a therapeutic service so they can go from now to next.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Day One For someone coming in town I would start with breakfast at Breakfast at Barneys or Toast
I would then take them to see MLK’s home, church, and also the MLK center.
We would end the day at Kaminskys
Day Two
For day two after eating breakfast at home we would spend the whole day at the spa at Natural Body Spa
Day Three
We would park at Cennetinal Park and spend the whole day looking at the CNN, Coca Cola Center, Aquarium and Benz stadium. We would eat breakfast at The Breakfast Club, lunch at Park Tavern, and Dinner at the Westin for the views
Day Four would be all.about shopping spending the day at the North Georgia Outlets
Day Five I would start with taking them to Brookhaven to do a movie and then having lunch at Nova Cuncino. For dinner we would go to Fleming’s and then go to Eclipse De Luna to listen to live music and end the week.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to shout out Beautiful Butterflies Inc and Guide My H.EA.R.T both of which are non profits I work with. The first mentors girls. The second young adult and women as they both allow us to empower the next generation.
