We had the good fortune of connecting with Landon D’Aire and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Landon, Let’s talk about principles and values – what matters to you most?
Loyalty is the most important principle/value to me because it cost nothing to give it to those who give it to you. It also requires other values I am big on as well which are respect, honesty, and trust. Most of us (people) are born into this world alone, to figure things out with or without our parents, and while we are not obligated to take care of anyone else we are told/taught to treat others the way we would want to be treated. I was blessed to have siblings growing up who taught me about loyalty first thing, right, wrong, or indifferent my siblings know they will always have someone in their corner. It’s bad enough the world is already as cold as it is, it should not be cold and lonely, loyalty is the least you can give to someone that you truly care about. That’s how I measure love.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
What I am most proud of is, selling out of my hoodies when I first started my clothing brand on campus and the many people that were waiting on me to relaunch after I closed my store for a short period of time. It was not easy at all getting to this point of running a brand along with the other Artistic attributes that I bring to the table, trying to find the balance and time management between everything is a challenge, however, focusing on what’s more important at the time is what’s key. Prioritizing what needs to be done sooner than later will definitely help get more things done.

The way I overcome challenges is by praying, being realistic with myself and my plans, and prioritizing. Writing everything down and discussing everything with God before, during, and after helps me get through obstacles.

The lessons I’ve learned are don’t doubt yourself, you (your thoughts and the words you speak) are your own worse enemy, don’t listen to what others have to say, listen to what God places in your heart, pray about it and go after it. Take YOUR time, you are on God’s time, and your time nobody else. Don’t let social media rush you and your plans. Your brand will take off when it is time. Your talent will be seen, appreciated, and respected by others when it’s time, as long as you do it now, others will follow suit in due time. Your faith and ambition have to be greater than your fear. You have to want it more than they (haters & naysayers) want you to have it.

What I want the world to know about me, my brand, and my story is that I am and they are both Loaded with Ambition.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
1st and foremost GOD, who is the head of my life THANK YA! I would not be who I am without God. 2nd, my mother she is the most creative, loving, inspiring and strongest woman I know that God blessed me with meeting and calling my mother, she has always shown her creativity to me throughout my life, and pushed me to be the very best, despite all else. She sees so much in me, even when I was carrying an oxygen tank, she had me in baby pageants before the age of 2. In her words she knew her baby was going to be a star lol.
3rd. All of my siblings, even though I shut them out and hide away into my cancer shell, they never give up on me, they always see more in myself than I do from time to time, Iran, Candyce, Cortnee, & Haven I love yall dearly.
4th Ms. Flora Jones & Mr. Sam Young, My advisors, thank yall for being my other parents, my counselors, for believing in me, for being there, reminding me how loved I am when at times I may not feel it or believe, for seeing the best in me.
