We had the good fortune of connecting with Lana Joseph and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lana, every day, we about how much execution matters, but we think ideas matter as well. How did you come up with the idea for your business?
As a young girl, I faced speech and hearing challenges, enduring eight years of struggle due to financial constraints that prevented timely medical intervention through Medicaid. The bullying and teasing I endured during this period were difficult to bear. When I finally received therapy, it took only three months to completely overcome my speech issues. Reflecting on those lost years, I couldn’t help but imagine how different my life might have been with earlier intervention.

Motivated by my own experiences, I founded the High Level Speech and Hearing Center to ensure that children facing similar obstacles could access speech and hearing services irrespective of their economic circumstances. In the past eight years, we have made a significant impact, aiding over 50,000 patients, including 250 schools and daycares.

Through our clinic, we identified a growing trend of noise-induced hearing loss and recognized the importance of preventive measures. Transitioning from a medical practice to consumer electronics, we created audio products aimed at reducing the risk of noise-induced hearing loss. Unlike other companies that start in consumer electronics, we evolved from a medical background with a steadfast commitment to making a meaningful difference.

Our goal is to contribute to preventative medicine, understanding that proactive measures are often the most effective. Notably, our clients include renowned figures such as Drake, Ari Lennox, Adam Blackstone, Tobe Nwigwe, and Summer Walker. We are excited about the prospect of making a lasting impact on the lives of individuals through our unique journey from healthcare to consumer electronics.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Certainly! My name is Dr. Lana Joseph. I am the founder of Jrumz Ear Wear, and I am thrilled to share the unique aspects of my business journey. We overcame obstacles through dedication, resilience, and a passion for improving the intersection of fashion and hearing wellness. The journey has taught us invaluable lessons about adaptability, creativity, and the importance of staying true to our vision.

What we are most proud of is not just the products we offer but the impact we have on people’s lives. Jrumz Ear Wear is not just about style; it’s about enhancing the auditory experience for individuals.
