Meet Lacee Watkins | Owner & Founder of Kay Social

We had the good fortune of connecting with Lacee Watkins and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Lacee, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
My goal for Kay Social is always to help small businesses thrive. There is nothing more satisfying to me than being a part of growing a brand to establish a loyal and engaged customer base.
What should our readers know about your business?
Kay Social is a Social Media Marketing, Public Relations, and Events Firm. We specialize in food and beverage, hospitality, and fashion categories, offering content creation, influencer marketing, full-service PR, and event planning. Kay Social was established in June of 2020 and we currently service twelve clients from Atlanta to Italy. I am thankful to be in a place where we can pick and choose when it comes to clients.
Getting to this place was not easy and honestly, I only plan for it to get more complex. I want to continue building a dynamic team and list of clients we love. There are many challenges when owning a business, but it is worth it.
I want working with Kay Social to be a fun and intimate experience for our current and future clients as we grow your brand through out-of-the-ordinary ideas and unique collaborations.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Kay Social would not be a reality without COVID, bottom line. I do not want to thank COVID but, I am thankful for some silence for ten minutes in my career where I was able to step back and realize what I wanted for my life. During this time, EVERYONE around me said, “DO IT!” My mentors, Shaye Strager and D’anne Heckert, have always cheered me on. My friends, family and boyfriend, Dave Tarter (who sometimes feels like my business coach) – thank you for always telling me to go for it.
Last but not least, I am thankful for the relationships I have built over the years in Atlanta and all of those individuals who have referred business my way or given Kay Social business. I hate the saying, “it’s all about who you know”…..I think a better way to say it would be, “it’s really about how you conduct yourself in those relationships and always doing right by others….good things will come.”
