We had the good fortune of connecting with Krystal Ketcham and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Krystal, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I pursued a career as a content creator because I truly enjoy creating content and sharing the story of others. Creating content for others to watch was always something I enjoyed. It never felt like work to me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think my mindset sets me apart from others. Most people want a great job with benefits and a retirement plan, and there’s nothing wrong with that. I want a career where I can inspire others and literally do what I love every day. I am excited to watch my YouTube channel grow and reach the masses. My career journey has been the furthest from easy. I got my foot in the door by interning for a publicist. She showed me the ropes of entertainment industry, and I soaked up all her knowledge. One of the biggest lessons I learned thus far is to never be afraid to fail. We all fail. Learn from your failures and keep going. I want the world to know that I aspire to help others by simply showing people anything is possible if you work toward it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
As I think about my career journey, I realize how truly grateful I am for my family. Through the ups and downs, they were always there to support me. They never made me feel less than or inadequate. Instead, they were always there to support me in any way possible. My mentor, Natalie Fikes, also deserves credit. I could be feeling down, and all of a sudden I get an encouraging text from her and it really gives me validation to keep going.
