Meet Kierra Queen K” Griggs | Mother

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kierra “Queen K” Griggs and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kierra “Queen K”, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I actually had a few thoughts because being a business owner was something that I knew I wanted to achieve when I was about 19 years young. The final thought process was finding a trade that would showcase my gifts the most for me to do what it is I do naturally, and have the freedom of time I wanted, while also enjoying what I’m doing every day for living. That’s how I got into sales, then it was just figuring out what I needed to sale, what industry needed my presence the most, and what industry would other people benefit the most from by me utilizing my gifts. After selling knives, upselling at shoe store, upselling at gas stations, and selling life insurance, I found real estate, starting on the investment side and now I’m a business owner operating in my calling and offering my gifts as service to people who need them most. I couldn’t be more grateful for the journey here.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business is Griggs Galleria of Luxury Ltd Co. We are a real estate service business, and we assist in all areas real estate, servicing the North Atlanta and Northeast Georgia markets! We are an agent partner with one of the biggest minority owner brokerage firms in Atlanta, Norman & Associate Real Estate Solutions! What set us apart from others in our field is that we dedicate ourselves to serving and assisting people on their journey by being an advocate and guide to our prospects, customers, and clients! We do this by utilizing all of our diamond partners to be sure that our clients can make the best decisions, which we also refer to them as informed decisions. We pride ourselves on transparency, efficiency, and honesty. I am most proud of how far we’ve come and I am most excited about how far we still have to go, every area we will service and everyone we will serve on the way.
What are some of the difficulties or challenges you faced starting your own business?
It’s imperative for me to start with the fact that God gave me a vision and appointed me to dominate in my field of expertise, period, and it took committing to that calling, dedicating my time to constantly working on my craft and developing my skills. This was not easy but obtaining anything of true value and chasing a life you know you deserve is going to be challenging. If it weren’t everybody would be driving a Maybach or a BMWi8 if I’m being honest. Overcoming challenges that come along with chasing success, is literally the only “hard” part about obtaining it. I say that because the way I, and I can almost guarantee, anyone who has gone after anything they’ve truly wanted or desire is through change and a lot of people fear that word. I literally had to change myself, my mindset and the way I thought about myself, my life, and my purpose here!
What are some of the lessons that you’ve learned on your journey to obtaining the success you have thus far that you believe will help others in their journey?
The lessons I’ve learned on the way here are what makes the journey worth taking for any entrepreneurs reading this! It’s literally what makes the success taste, smell, and feel like nothing you’ve ever tasted, smelt, or felt before. Lesson 1, Pray about your purpose, get in the word, learn your gifts and stay plugged in. I recommend creating a playlist with your favorite and most relatable motivational speaker, E.T. is my only recommendation for my generation. Honestly because, if you know you know. Submit and commit to God and your gifts will make room for you. 2. Remain grateful EVERY SINGLE STEP OF THE WAY! Be grateful of the mini wins because they bring many wins! Be grateful of the people around you! 3. Focus on you and what you’re supposed to be doing while you’re here and those who believe in you and what you’re doing will be appointed by God to assist you in the ways you need them to. 4. This one can be difficult for some but it’s definitely a must. Eliminate distractions! SEX, Tv, social media, and anything or any people that aren’t getting you to a higher level in your life or pushing you to utilize your gifts to serve! 5. Keep going!! Find out what works and stay consistent in it! 6. Pray, meditate, stay humble, and stay grounded. Make sure you learn yourself, know who you are, and don’t depart from that because that’s what’s going to separate you from everybody else. Learning and mastering those 6 lessons will allow the universe to align in your favor and your manifestations will start appearing right before your eyes! All Facts!
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Man, this is probably the toughest question for me to answer because I’m really lowkey and I do not be outside like that if we being all the way real. Okay, if I’m showing my friend around, I am a high key foodie so I like to restaurant hop so on a Sunday we’re having brunch at Sunday Brunch ATL and other days one of the places I’m going to in Atlanta is the Atlanta Breakfast Club! Then I’d catch a yoga session in Piedmont Park, I’m also vegan-ish so I’d definitely have to say I’m making a stop at Plant Based Pizzeria for some lunch, we’ll probably go do some pottery and hit the trap museum afterwards, if its a Thursday night we’re hitting the studio with Amazing if you know, you know! If its the 3rd Friday of the month then I’m going to Jazz Fridays at the High Museum ATL, I’m a sabbath keeper, we’ll have to get our spirit filled and commune with the Most High! I am an active member at A Place of Change Ministries (APOC). Saturday Afternoon I’m taking her on Candler Rd. to see some good people, sliding over to Glenwood to see my other good people, and Saturday night, if there’s a Fat & Tobe, J.Cole, Wale, Drake or Megan concert at the amphitheater, masquerade, or benz stadium, we’re going. Clearly Saturday and Sunday is when I’m most active, Monday through Friday I’m punching my own clock. There’s so much to do in my city. I could go on for a while, but I also can’t give away all of my lil spots so that’s enough for now!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Shoutouts??!! Listen, I been waiting to talk about these people!! I refer to them as K’s Korner because these people have been in my korner SUPPORTING me financially, mentally, spiritually, and emotionally, from the beginning and I mean beginning, like the first line of Genesis. With that being said I first have to give thanks, praise and shoutout the Big GOD, the most high GOD, for blessing me with the vision first, then my son who got me right for the vision I was blessed with, and for blessing me with the people I’m about to shoutout next. My mother, my mom, my mama!! This woman has been lifting me up for the last 3 years of my life and she’s been 95% of my support, we’ve helped each other grow so much! I could talk about her all day but there are other people who have contributed to my success. My Dad was the only person who knew I was in real estate school when I first enrolled and he gassed me and I knew my secret would be safe with him! My friend Tevin has lowkey been my PR manager for the longest he really use to check me ALL the time when it came to me and dealing with people in general. My two God sisters Eileen and Rianna both keep me balanced in my personal life and in my mom life and they have been there for me when I’ve need that push and inspiration to keep going. She might kill me but I have to mention that Eileen actually did an entire project for me in order for me to pass a class that I was taking in college and I knew before then that she was riding for me but when she did that…..I knew she wasn’t going NO WHERE!! Y’all don’t understand how clutch that was for me at that time in my life. E.T. the hip-hop preacher wasn’t in my life personally, but he was in my life because I listened to his videos and kept myself plugged into his content and Fat & Tobe for the music I needed to stay plugged in, in that realm. All of these people still support me and have been the same people they were before my success and on the way to it. I’m more than grateful for these people and I make sure they know it, see it, and feel it!! K’s Korner hold it down like whoa!!!
