We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenneth Rouche’ and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kenneth, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
When I created Wing-N-It the goal was to create a brand that represented outstanding customer service and also a product worth sharing to others 📸. Another goal while creating this business was to take a premium approach to the things we already loved which are wings and french fries! Almost with every type of food you can find a premium version of it and as I did market research I noticed it wasn’t a “Rolls Royce” for wings and that’s where we hoped to make our impact! Our goal was to target a certain market of successful individuals that cared more about quality and experience than the cost of an item! We wanted to also bring the excitement of new food and experiences back to the food service! I had been in management for years and I had turned restaurants and companies from bad to high level running companies! After so many years of doing it I knew for a fact without a shadow of a doubt I could do the same for myself and my company!

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I think what sets me apart from most owners in my industry is that I intentionally go harder and I can explain in detail. I wake up earlier and go to sleep later than anyone in my industry! I study my competition and my market daily! I make more social media post than anyone in my industry! I will say the most relevant reason for our success is something I call “20 No’s a Day”! That’s right I look for 20 ppl a day to tell me know they don’t want my product or no they are not interested! I know you are thinking what the heck!!! Let me break it down to you! What 20 no’s a day really does is for starters gets you out there and exposed to the market! People can’t support you if they don’t know! Another thing it helps with is repetition and I think that’s one of the most important parts! You eventually get your script down pat, you get it so good you start to be more convincing and believable, it eventually builds your confidence to the space you need to be as an entrepreneur because everyone of course isn’t going to agree or support you and last but not least is sometimes a “no” is actually not a “no” but actually a “not right now”! It takes guts but so worth it in the long run!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Savannah is such a nostalgic and beautiful city filled with history and great restaurants that people travel from around the world to experience so trust when I say its always something to do! Personally I would suggest following the @wingnitsav page because actually we are a food service but we actually really do put a lot of our efforts into experience! We call ourselves “the not so formal wing stop “ because yes we serve food but we are really party and experience planners! Every time we open it’s actually for an event style! We do from paint and sips, to sporting events , to even drag shows! The sky is definitely the limit when it comes to the different events we host! Anytime you are in Savannah you could literally follow our instagram page @wingnitsav and build a fun itinerary!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think the best way to fully understand the reason for our success is to know who and what makes a GO! A lot of my success comes from my “WHY”! My “WHY” is my family and in more detail my son in particular! I actually quit my job and started my business 5 months before my son was born🤯! That’s right I left my high paying guaranteed insurance and security job to start a business in an industry that was suffering due to Covid-19! I don’t think not one person in my life understood or agreed with what I had done but I knew the amount of hours I worked a week and amount of money I made would not be enough to be the father I wanted to be to my son! Fast Forward today he is the motivation I use daily to be the best version of myself and really shoot for the moon with our business! I now wake up every morning to his smile and I’m able to tuck him in every night we aren’t booked ! Another important “WHY” of mine is my family and being the piece that adds generational wealth! I want to be the exposure for them to know the also can dream and accomplish anything the set their hearts to! Every day I am motivated by those two things!
