Meet Kenisha Walker | Eboutique owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kenisha Walker and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kenisha, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
I’m from the a WESTSIDE of Atlanta , Bankhead courts. Both sides of my family are big & well known. So for me I am used to doing good & looking good because somebody gone always see & know my mama’ nem lol. I was raised to love life & be thankful.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I own JAZZY BELLE ACCESSORIES. A play on words for being (jazzy – classy & stylish) (belle was taken from southern belle). I’m most proud of myself for not giving up! My biggest challenge in life, not just business, has been depression. I had to learn myself to defeat challenging thoughts. I was able to accomplish the beginning stages of it by simply coming out of my shell to promote my business to the public. I’ve learned that not only do people buy your product they also buy your story & so being able to be social & open with people has helped me tremendously. I want the world to know that I’m a growing woman accepting of my personal flaws , & that being a JAZZY BELLE is not solely what purse you’re wearing but a lifestyle choice. To be graceful , kind & confident.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I haven’t hung out socially since the pandemic , but I’d definitely take them to my dad’s house over the weekend lol. When my family gets together we eat good & have a grand ol time. For sake of the question though, a nice restaurant in midtown , I’m addicted to fork & screen as well. ATLANTA has plenty to offer , even at a red light it wouldn’t be hard to entertain!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shout out to my family the Walker’s (dad) Foote’s (mom) and to all BLACK women in business for being great examples for me & my entrepreneur journey.
