We had the good fortune of connecting with Keisa Peek and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keisa, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process in regards to starting my own business primarily focuses on my why. By understanding my why, I am able to move forward when times seem hard. When things do not go according to plans, I take a deep breath, I breathe in and out to ground myself. I concentrate on current situations and I remind myself, I can’t focus on situations that do not honor the path I am on. I cannot permit myself to go down a deep whole like the rabbit in Alice in Wonderland.

My why are my children. I have a 21 year old son and a 19 year old daughter. I want to show them anything is possible. If they can dream it, it literally can happen.

Everything starts with a vision. Once you can see it, you can obtain it. Sometimes you simply have to speak things into existence. That is taking a stance in the universe.

I took a stand. I started a business that allows me to utilize my gifts to help others build confidence. When people are able to boost self awareness levels, new doors open. They are able to see things differently. They are able to generate new paths, because their view of the world is rerouted. When this happens, I believe I have done my part in the universe. I assist people with stepping towards their objective, by helping them resolve common issues like acne, hair loss, eczema and etc.

What should our readers know about your business?
Sweet Lotus Beauty focuses on treating your body. It includes skincare, hair care and beauty care products for both men and women. I am proud we offer an assortment of products for men. That aspect is important, because men want to feel, smell and look good. Therefore men love to shop our beard oils, beard balms, body butters, hair care and face care.

Sweet Lotus beauty initiated its business practices by going to barber shops, nail shops and beauty salons. I packed my car with products and I drove throughout Snellville, Stonecrest, Decatur, Atlanta and etc. I also did Pop Up Shops throughout Georgia. On the weekends, I was at a Pop Up Shop.

Sweet Lotus Beauty actually initiated its first encounter at North Point Mall at a Pop Up Shop. Sweet Lotus Beauty was invited to attend the Santa’s Outpost, which is located at 1000 North Point Circle, Alpharetta, Georgia 30022. As a vendor, many customers requested I open a store. After several conversations, I started looking at stores and decided to move forward with the process. Now Sweet Lotus Beauty has a storefront inside North Point Mall.

This process was not easy. It took a great deal of dedication, prayer and self motivation. It is important to surround yourself with like minded people and progressive individuals. Persons with goals and drive to move forward, will give off positive energy that motivates you to break barriers.

They also give information on lessons learned. Therefore it is important to listen. Great listening and communication skills will assist with which direction to take on and to avoid. If there is a current platform to learn from, then let’s not recreate the wheel when it is already made.

The major lessen I learned is, no one is as dedicated as I am, because this is my business. I have to show up daily, even when I want to rest. I pour my heart into this business, and pray it will somehow bless others. I pray it will somehow heal what is ailing people, yet build them up so they can move towards their next level.

Sweet Lotus Beauty is a brand that is based on God’s promises. If we ask, we shall receive. Therefore anything is possible. If you believe it will be great, it will. If you believe it will be awful, it will. What ever you believe, you will receive.

I believe Sweet Lotus Beauty will become a household name. The products will help and bless others. My products is my way of helping God’s children. This is my gift and my way of helping His people.

When you enter Sweet Lotus Beauty, you are greeted with a warm smile. We are truly excited about welcoming you into our store. Upon entry, you are given a tour of the store. We walk you to each section and explain the potential benefits of the products.

We fully believe in our merchandise. We have seen what the products can do. We believe In Miracles, therefore we understand anything is possible, if you believe. The first step is the vision. If you can see the vision, you can believe in it. With that understanding, we are excited when our customers hair grows, face clears up and are relieved from eczema.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my best friend was coming to town, we will most likely go to Six Flags Over Georgia, Stone Mountain Park, Piedmont Park and North Point Mall to see my 1st store. We are both adventurous and this will be exciting for both of us. Climbing Stone Mountain will definitely be a challenge, but so much fun. Sitting on the rides at Six Flags and screaming at the top of our lungs, will be a memory we will both cherish. Piedmont Park will always be my favorite park. I still remember my mom taking us there to have picnics during the summer.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I am dedicating my shout out to my mom and my grandmother. Those two are my ride or die chicks. They are always with me every step of the way. Those two are my prayer warriors. Both help me at my best and worst times.

When ever I need encouragement, they are only a phone call away. I am blessed to have both in my life. My grandmother is my best friend and my mom somehow knows when I need her. Her instinct is impeccable.

They both encourage, motivate and help me to move towards each goal and objective. They never doubt me. They always tell me, “you can do it”, you got this”, “I am praying for you” and more. They taught me the world is limitless. Only I can limit myself. Therefore I must have the correct mindset at all times.
