We had the good fortune of connecting with Keesha Dabney and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Keesha, how do you define success?
I define success when my client goals are met. Working with Veterans has been proven to be difficult this year due to the market inflation. With hard work and great collaborating agents I have assisted 5 Veterans with their home purchase.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My motto is “Turning possibilities into Opportunities”. This resonates with me because it gives my clients ease knowing I am with them every step of the process. From getting ready (assisting those with credit challenges) to the end. I strive to be that go to Realtor by providing customer service which is extended beyond the closing table.

Some think being a Realtor is easy and quick money, it’s not. School didn’t teach you how to be a problem solver, the different hats you have to wear. That comes from networking and continuing education. To be a successful Realtor you have to find your niche, which is like looking for a needle in the haystack. Once you find your niche you have to perfect your craft. This is where education and networking are sooooo vital. You cannot do one without the other.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
By day definitely the beltline. Love to get out to exercise and people watch. After a good workout out must eat healthy at Slutty Vegan. Midday a Cigar Lounge such as Highland Cigars. My favorite brand is Drunk Chicken Cigars. Later in the evening if you want to go dancing Whiskey Mistress is always an option.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Most importantly my clients for trusting me through this process and referring others. My photographer and Graphic Designer Kious Dabney. I am not able to draw a straight line to save my life and he is able to put my vision on paper.
