Meet Kayla Heard | Experience Curator & Creator

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kayla Heard and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kayla, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
The battle of continuing or giving up is one that can be very tricky and trying for different reasons.. Majority of the time, giving up comes from not having the finances to build or invest in your brand and/or company. Giving up becomes the solution when you’ve exhausted all of your resources and it starts to feel like a job instead of a passion. You should keep going, when you feel it in your heart and spirit. When you wake up, the first thing you think about is your business goals. You may have tried other endeavors and the one thing that keeps coming back is that idea or dream. No matter how many times you want to give up, you still want to accomplish the goals you’ve set for your business, that’s when you know to keep going. You keep pushing and using all your resources until you’ve reached success. No matter how many fails or times you’ve had to start over, it’s all worth it at the end.

What should our readers know about your business?
Kayla Heard aka Elegance, the “Experience Curator”. I am the CEO of Experience Elegance and creator of Creating Elegance Overall. As an entrepreneur amongst my millennial peers, I have devoted my brand to creating experiences with a focus on logistics. I have mastered curating dining experiences in addition to event planning. With the vision to break the cycle of not working with others who share similar business aspirations, I partner with other event planners to create diverse experiences. I enjoy speaking about my testimony and giving tips to upcoming entrepreneurs. While gathering my 5 essentials of event planning, I have secured the proper tools to ensure an elegant experience for my clients. Creating Elegance Overall (CEO) was created from Elegance’s lifestyle. I have not only tackled the title of being the CEO of my company but I’ve managed to stamp elegance in the homes of my family and friends through my rising planner line and customized “Elegance” apparel. While accomplishing my own personal and career goals, I have created a way for others to secure their own achievements as they “Make It D.A.T.E.” In the midst of speaking on different panels, hosting and attending events, I have managed to bring all three of her personalities together to create pieces of apparel. Remembering that I am my brand at all times, what better way than to be stylish in my own apparel. Although my journey is still going, I have overcome several hiccups. Those were overcome by growing pains adjust simply becoming more confident in myself as a business women and in my brand. Trial and error, surrounding myself with other successful entrepreneurs, and doing more research in my field have also been great tips and tools to help me overcome my challenges and learn more about business overall.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
