Meet Kamil Jones: ARTIST & FATHER
We had the good fortune of connecting with Kamil Jones and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kamil, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
A vision first. I had to see from the eyes of others what stands out, what platform does this company have that makes me want to support it. Is this a money hungry campaign or is it a genuine campaign that makes money. I had to envision who I wanted to represent my business. Are these people a representation of my mission. Who do I want to sell to? It was a lot of psychological planning. Trying to get in tune with the spirituality of my brand. And then that’s when the business comes around to develop the plan.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I’m the type of artist that doesn’t necessarily chase a demographic. I’m a real artist that makes music for EVERYONE to relate too. Music that is filled with energy from my actual soul, from my experience. From my past and future. I feel like we transcend dimensions through life and death. My challenges truthfully have been just finding a way to fund my career for maximum growth. When I stopped caring about my local support and trying to impress people that ain’t have my best interest, I took on a new face. I am as genuine as possible. Everything someone sees about me is organic. I’ve paid for streams once. It’s just not me. I learned that I got a powerful aura and real recognize real. I just settle in play my role. Look at the art when I paint. I want to build a new lane. That’s what 444Chozen LLC is about, building a lane. Not necessarily for “rejects”, But people with a deeper understanding and love for our lifestyle as creatives.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We going to raggorama to cop some drip. Honestly we would probably stay in the little five points area. Or hit up east Atlanta village. We goin to all the bars in both areas. I need to stop drinkin though lol. Little five points is where a lot of my supporters kick it. Gotta do a @takeoffatl performance on that Tuesday. Introduce them to the hardest working artists I know in the area, my boy Mainstreet843 stays on the block with his tapes and promos. The boy go crazy. If it’s week long we gotta spend the last 3 days in the cabins in blue ridge with some beautiful women. Network, do some music, create content, smoke that gas up. It’s so much to do. I hate when people say they always bored. It’s more to Atlanta than hookahs and seafood. I would be bored too if that’s all I did lmao.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My brother ThisMyJam, Latiya Wolffe, Rico 3D aka Khaleed Barrett, Tez O, LG Abundance, Mr Koko. And a young lady who at this current moment I can’t recall her name but she paid for me to perform when I couldn’t cause she believed in me. These people believe in me to a point where they make sacrifices for me because I’d do the same for them. These people make life easier. These people have never left me high and dry. I don’t look back and think of the bad times with these people. Those bad times weren’t too serious. I appreciate genuine people. It’s a few other people I can’t think of right now but they know who they are. These people are willing to pass the ball because they believe you can score. As far as literature I read a lot on spirituality just to stay sane in this crazy world.
Mentors, @Ameroshotta has dropped gems on me and invested time in me that other folks are paying for. Blessings not everyone get. So it’s all love. Voyage ATL was my first blog placement so I definitely show them love. Im always tryna show the new stuff I’m working on. All love.
