Meet Kaisha Sanders | Singer/Songwriter/Performing Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kaisha Sanders and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kaisha, why did you pursue a creative career?
Honestly, I pursued an artistic and creative career because it has always been a part of me. I didn’t wake up one day and decide to do this–it was something I was born with. I was created and equipped with talents and after exploring my many gifts, I found that music resonated with me most. It feels natural and fulfilling, making it easier to make sacrifices for something I’m truly passionate about.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What sets me apart as an artist is my ability to be raw and authentic. I create music that reflects real emotions and experiences, making it easy for people to connect with. My goal isn’t just to entertain but to inspire and uplift. One of my proudest moments so far has been going on a middle and high school tour. Seeing how my music resonates with students means everything to me. Getting to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Balancing my career while working and handling life’s responsibilities has been a challenge, but my determination keeps me going. I’ve learned to be resourceful, work hard, and always trust the process. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that success does not happen overnight. Patience, consistency, and staying true to yourself are key. I’ve also learned that the right people will support and invest in you when they see your passion and dedication. I want the world to know that my music is more than just sound–it’s an experience, a movement. I’m here to inspire, uplift, and empower those that connects with me.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Honestly, we don’t have much to do here in Tuscaloosa as it’s mainly focused on football–Roll Tide, Roll. But if my best friend were visiting for a week-long trip, we’d go to Shindig or Bowlero which both includes arcades, bowling, and various other games. We would go out for steak dinners at Longhorn or some splendid tacos from Taco Mama on University. We would attend a comedy show at The StarDome comedy club for great food and laughs in Hoover, AL, which is about 50 minutes away from Tuscaloosa. Lastly, being around my family would be a great way to end it all as we enjoy each other accompanied by amazing food, stories, and talks about the future and where we see ourselves going.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to thank everyone who’s helped me in any way–big or small–on my music journey. I’m especially grateful to God and my mom for keeping me grounded, guiding me from the very beginning, and always encouraging me to stay confident and keep pushing forward. Their love, wisdom, and unwavering belief in me have shaped who I am today, and I wouldn’t be here without them.
