We had the good fortune of connecting with Jusderia and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jusderia, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Um, I’d like to speak on one factor. Control. Or the more powerful thing, surrender. I’ve always imagined the kind of adult I want to be. Being raised by a village of many characters , I spent a lot of time picking and leaving the things about them that I did or didn’t want to take into adulthood. They all indirectly taught me surrender. To have real faith. Real give it to God moments.I feel like I was taught that my ability to control things was a direct reflection of my self worth, my status in society. How good could I be at controlling things ?
Anyways, I released that idea. Surrender , which ties in with faith and freedom and other beautiful things really contributes to my success.
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I think one of the things that sets me apart from other artists is my patience, mindfulness. I’m not scratching for any and every opportunity to get paid , noticed , or to even do what I love. For the most part I create them myself. I set the standard.I also do my best to discern what opportunities were divinely created for me, you know, which ones will fulfill me. That’s REALLY important to me.
Mindfulness in today’s world isn’t the easiest thing, but it’s something we can practice. It’s worth the effort.
I’m proud of that. I want people to know that.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t really go out much. If I had to choose though. We would go to Stone Mountain. I enjoy nature and silence. I can’t honestly give you an itinerary. It would probably involve good food , sunlight , and good music. I have yet to find those three. Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My aunte Chesslee. She is very much an angel on this journey. She seeks to see me happy and thriving. She always ready to support me in any and everything I do. Whether it’s money, a ride, a kind word, or a full blown counseling session, she shows up !
