We had the good fortune of connecting with Julius Damien Christopher Bryant and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julius Damien Christopher, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was so long ago, to be honest I liked the freedom of not answering to anyone, that I was in control of the path I wanted to be on and that I didn’t need anyone to disapprove or stifle my creative ideas.

What should our readers know about your business?
Well my first business venture was JDB Management group, I launched it in 1999, I managed singers, actors and aspiring models. It wasn’t that hard because I was already established as a trusted ally in the industry and known for my eyes, and ears for talent. After 9/11 I relocated to the state of Florida where my New York worth ethics where put to the test. I networked in circles that no one knew who I was or my resume. So I had to prove myself and my worth, once I was in the inner circle it was an easy road to tow. I worked with many local unsigned artist and signed artist Like Flo-Rida, AKON, DJ Khalid, Scott Storch, etc. My work in Florida was a proving ground that with hard work, and perseverance and knowing your worth can get you far. This also led me to start an online showcase via the internet entitled JDB LIVE ON KRIB TV, it was a showcase platform for all artist to break their new songs whether they are signed to a label or not. But I was very cautious and I educated those on how to properly market their brand at that time. I am the type of person who loves education not just for others but for myself as well, if there is something I don’t know trust me I will do my best to research the information and I make sure I am fully informed before I pass it on.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my out of town guest do come to NY, I usually take them to my friends bar OFFSIDE TAVERN (which had to close due to the pandemic), I am a huge movie buff so the movies, take them to Harlem, a ride on the Staten Island ferry. I am not big on Times Square but if they wanted to go I would take them, I have access to my rooftop so hanging on the roof, talking and having drinks with a Brooklyn skyline you can’t beat that. The people they would meet would mainly be models and actors whom I have worked with and have built a great friendship, my cooking keeps my guest happy as well, Because I am really not one to go out much if I have no reason, I will have the ultimate video game competition Tekken, Madden, 2k. it’s like being a kid all over again.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a few people in my life who have had major impacts, First my high school teacher Judi B.Raines she saw something in me as a young man that no one did. She encourage me to grow and follow my instincts. She always told me there was nothing I couldn’t do once I put my mind to it. She was totally correct about that. Secondly my God Parents Dwight and Deborah Cook, when I was breaking in the entertainment industry as actor/singer/musician., the knowledge, training, encouragement and pushing me to get out of my comfort zone has had a major impact on my creative life this very day.. Over the years I have met a few people on my journey into the entertainment industry who have turned out to be great long time friends, whom I consider friends. Like Drell Demps he inspires me when I feel lost or I need a humorous boost, Anthony Morgan shows me at times that that gifts I have are valued not just physically but he appreciates the way I think and my business savvy. My sisters Dara, Paris, and Zina who have always been there no matter what, when i need to be told the TRUTH about myself. I have a great circle of friends who have supported me throughout my many years in the entertainment industry. Joshua Wade, Michelle Pascal, Naquan and Jason Parkins-Ross, Dominique Bones lark, Tyrese Primus, The Brooklyn Royals family of youtube fame, Shermon Brathwaite, Darnell S. Rose,, Will Townes there are So many but these are the key players.
