We had the good fortune of connecting with Julina Busby and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Julina, how do you think about risk?
When I think about risk,
I always look and think, is this something I want to look back on say I tried rather than not trying. Some of the most successful people in the world had to take risk to get where they are. I am a “it is what it is” type of person,
So the way I look at it is I can try and no matter the outcome it’s going to be what it’s meant to be at the end of the day and I will be happy knowing I have it a shot then nothing at all. Just like this story, if I would have not risked putting myself out there, then this opportunity would have not landed for me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am currently pursuing content creation/ influencer on TikTok and Instagram.
My dream is to work with beauty brands and so this full time and travel the world and meet new people. I most excited that took the risk and decided to not care what people in my hometown who personally know, think of me on social media and not let it hold me back. Consistent and being patience is the most thing I have learned along this journey. Once I have something set in mind that I want to do, I am going to do it. So for me, being patient and staying consistent with my posting, it will happen for me in time when the time is right and to not give up.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I live near the lake, so during the summer we love to take our boat out and spend the day on the water. I would have my best friend join me in this. I also love to eat. I would also tell her to join me in going to Ponce City Market in Atlanta for a day of shopping and eating.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I first want to shout out my sister. She was the one who pushed me to go for it on social media and TikTok and not care what other people think. She inspired me to do what makes me happy and I love her so much for that. I also want to shoutout influencer Avery Woods, hearing her story of how she was a full time nurse (as too I can relate) to now a full time influencer who travels and spends so much more time with her family and
I look up to her so much.
