We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordyn Miller and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordyn, what inspires you?
I am inspired by all the beautiful small things in life that many look over. From the birds singing each morning to the glow of each sunrise or the red and orange tinted skies in sunsets. It’s nature that brings me the most fulfillment, joy, and peace in life. And that is what brings the inspiration to all the music that I have created.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Each piece of music I’ve composed tells a different story. Whether it’s just an instrumental or my most popular song thus far, they each tell a unique story. I like the listeners of my music to hear my music and know that they are never alone. I firmly believe that there is magic in everything in life and it’s just all about finding that spark. I’ve gotten to where I am today by a lot of character development and dedication to always striving to be a better version of myself. It hasn’t been an easy journey by any means, but I’ve learned so much along the way. I’ve learned that when it comes to the creation of something truly beautiful, it takes an extraordinary amount of patience for the right lyrics and music notes to come together in unison. The creative spark does not always come when I want it to, but when it does; it creates something special.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would first take them to the Roswell Mill waterfall and have them sit next to the water on a rock and simply listen to the water falling for a while. As that is my go to place when I’m trying to take a break and just breathe. Then I would take them to my favorite coffee cafe in Alpharetta called Fuel Coffee! The next place I would take them is my absolute favorite record store in downtown Alpharetta called Comeback Vinyl and spend an hour finding the perfect records to listen to later. And to finish off the day I think it’s an absolute must, to go on a nature walk and sit on the dock at Providence Park in Milton.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I think I would have to give a shoutout to all my friends that have helped me grow and develop in life throughout each chapter. No matter if they were friends who were only in my life for a short season, they played a huge role in my overall success in life. They helped me to get my creative work out to the world and inspired me to go after my dreams. I also want to thank my grandparents for their kindness, love, and support throughout the years. They have equally had an impact on my continued pursuit of my music journey.
