We had the good fortune of connecting with Jordan Shell and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jordan, can you share a quote or affirmation with us?
Growing up, my dad would always say “Talent plus want to equals greatness.” If you possess the talent and you want to do what you put your mind to, then greatness is not too far behind. Well, at least that’s what I took from it.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My eyes see something in every shoot that I approach. Whether it’s how I’ll edit the pictures to the pose I want my models to hit, I want to make sure that it looks like what I have in my head. Professionally, I think I got to where I am off of being me. I’m already a social guy so talking to people and easing them into being a model for me comes easy. I learned that even though I am great with people, you will end up working with many different characters in this industry and you have to be able to adjust to each personality. What do I want people to take away from me? I love photography, all aspects of it. The outcome, the process, the people that come with it. All of it.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Man, the beltline, krog street tunnel, shop at Wish ATL, get an impossible burger at Grindhouse Killer Burgers. There’s too much that I would want to do. Buddy might have to stay another week.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I honestly want to shout out my mom and my dad. Seeing their work ethic in their respective career fields made me want to make something great out of anything I picked up. Knowing that one day I will have a child that hopefully will look at me as inspiration for their own, makes me work harder as well.
