Meet Jonna Bae | Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jonna Bae and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jonna, what do you attribute your success to?
I would have to say my drive and determination to succeed. I’m not only making music for me . Everyday I wake up and Leave Home I try to get better at my craft , in Order to help take care of my mom. She’s in need of a heart transplant. However I feel like I’ve been going in the right direction so far.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I’ve been doing music since age 2 honestly lol my dad use to have me on the mic & drums at a early age. I guess I just followed my dads footsteps. I popped out rapping “professionally” in summer 2021, now it’s summer 2022 and I’m on a whole new level than last year. So I know it’ll only continue to go up. Everything wasn’t easy, and it still isn’t. I’m learning as I go. But, growth is what’s going to make a great artist. I see it in myself I’m just going to keep pushing until I get to where I want to be. With that said I sharpen my Craft everyday by practicing and performing where and when I can.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
In Macon? Considering the fact my best friend stays here also lol, I’d take her to the lake. I go out there to read and mediate and the water always eases my mind. I’d also take her to the rooftop downtown as it has good vibes & scenery Downtown has all sorts of restaurants and bars to choose from . The Rookery is one of my favorites . I’m pretty chill and laid back, so when I’m not doing music or shows I’m usually doing something that brings me peace.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Firstly, my mom. Without her I wouldn’t be where I am today. She’s always pushed me in high school when it came to me doing talent shows, events, etc. Secondly, shout-out to my label Prominent Record Label – my Ceo Thomad Royaltee Tomlin discovered me at a showcase a while back and he just so happened to be there and seen the star in me . Because of these two… there’s no way I’m going to lose !
