We had the good fortune of connecting with Jenny Golden and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jenny, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I am in the very beginning stages of getting started in voice over acting and it’s been a lifelong dream since childhood. I’ve always loved singing and can remember doing impersonations and it just brings me a lot of joy. Over the course of my life I’ve always been told “wow you have such an amazing voice you should radio or a podcast etc”. Life happened and I had children young and went the route of providing and never really pursued my dreams, but now that my children are older and I’m not living in survival mode I decided to take a leap of faith and pursue my dreams!

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Professionally I am a credit analyst and buyer for an auto finance company and I’ve grown up in the industry working in a dealership from the time I was 15. I’ve had success in the sales and finance industry and I attribute that to My ability to connect with people and build relationships. I’m very passionate and driven and competitive so I’ve always strived to be the best and anything I set my mind to. I decided to put that same passion and energy into starting the journey to becoming a voice over artist and I’m eager to see where my success takes me!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I live a little far out in a rural area of north Georgia , but I do love visiting different restaurants and I enjoy hiking and live music. I’d probably plan a hiking trip followed by a visit to a local winery. I’d also plan to visit some restaurants I’ve been wanting to try in and around Atlanta that offer aesthetic experiences and great food, maybe do a little shopping at Lennox mall and just enjoy girl time. There would definitely be a spa visit planned maybe massages and mani and pedicure. Other than that we could just hang out at the house with some yummy takeout and a bottle of wine

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’m always going to thank God. He blessed me with a voice and passion. I do sing on the worship team at church and really enjoy it. Although I never really had a dream to be a famous singer I always had a dream of doing voice over characters and I think a lot of that was inspired by my love for Disney and the musical aspect behind a lot of my favorite movies. I definitely want to thank my friends who pushed me and encouraged me to pursue my dreams especially my super creative friend Sherida.
