We had the good fortune of connecting with Jayda Pace and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jayda, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process was I woke up one morning and told my mom I wanted to start my own business. She asked what type of business it went from I wanted to sell bangles and slime to a store selling different items for girls my age. Me only being 12 years old it seemed easy, but my mom included me in every step of starting my business and boy was I wrong…lol it’s Hard Work

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I consider myself to have self-confidence because if I doubt myself and my ability to do run my business it won’t succeed. I’m proud to know I’m only 12 and I own a business lol. Thanks to my family and GOD I’m where I am today. No it wasn’t easy because some days I want to just be lazy and my mom push me to remember my business is a representation of me and that my hard work will pay off at the end. I’ve learn to be my own competition. I want the world to know Ladybug Jay Boutique name came from my Auntie Sherry calling me ladybug when I was a baby and I will one day have a store.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I love to go shopping,skating and spending time with my family

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Yes, I would like to thank my mom, dad, and God mom for helping me start my business and taking time to help me with the products that I sell. I also want to include my cousin Meisha for encouraging me to keep going and always telling me how proud she is of me. Last my family for supporting me.
