Meet Jasmine Griffin | Entrepreneur, Mother & Wife

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jasmine Griffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jasmine, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
I started my business during the pandemic. I was furloughed from my previous job. During that time, I was dealing with my own skincare issues after being diagnosed with autoimmune hepatitis stage 4 cirrhosis and the stores were empty of skincare products. I decided why not make my own skincare products and they would be free from harsh chemicals and all natural. I did alot of research and talked with experts in the health and beauty field. I took a leap of faith and awesome support from family and friends and I launch my very own skincare business in June 2020.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Along with being an entrepreneur I also work full time in the energy industry as a marketing manager. Being able to work in marketing for different companies definitely helps with business aspect for my own business. The economy is always changing and working in marketing helps me adapt to the changes, by findings different ways to present my products. I am most excited about where the journey will take me. I have a vision and dreams of what I would like to do and I am taking the steps to achieve those goals. How I got to where I am today is most relying on prayers and the right timing. Nothing in life is truly easy, you have to work hard to get to where you want to go. One of the challenges was hearing many NO’s before finally hearing that one Yes. The lessons I’ve learned is to never give up, no matter how discouraging life can get and that everything that is for you will happen in due. One thing that i want everyine to know about me and my brand is that I truly take pride and joy in creating and handcrafting products that make people feel good and thay wants to show off their natural beauty because we are all beautiful inside and out.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Luckily for me, I have best friends that love to do brunch. I would definitely check out the latest brunch spot on the weekend. I mean who turns down bottomless mimosas. Next, would be dinner at some of the most highly rated restaurants. We have quite a few museums and that would be a day trip during the week. We would head to one of the outlet malls to go shopping. Then we would go to our rooftop theater and catch a movie playing that week. Of course, check out a musically performance from one of our favorite artists.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
The biggest shoutout goes to my family and friends. They are my biggest supporters and critics. They were always willing to test out my products and give their honest opinion before I would sell the products. They saw my potential and my passion and made sure I was being the best and giving my best. I can always count on them to be in my corner cheering me on and that just means the world to me.
