We had the good fortune of connecting with Janeida Griffin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Janeida, what do you attribute your success to?
Continuously learning and giving back. With that being said, I continue to create my own lane and strive for innovation. The success of The Brow Girl comes from learning from others, and sharing my knowledge with others. I’m such a great resource to others in the same industry and I’m happy to always give back to those just getting started or don’t know where to begin. I wish I had that when I was getting started. My brand strives on being innovative- that’s the key to success for The Brow Girl!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
The Brow Girl was born at a time when I thought I lost my gift, I was fired from a company that I gave my all to. But in reality, it was not a loss- it was a GAIN. One thing about our gifts- it’s one thing that no one can take away from us. My gift was what clients gravitated to and with that gift of making other beautiful and feel wonderful though brow artistry I was able to launch my brand- The Brow Girl! Let’s face it, there are brow artists and brow bars popping up left and right- but what sets The Brow Girl apart is, I stay creating my own lane, by being innovative and helping others in the industry get started. My passion is not only creating beautiful brows, but also creating handcrafted skincare products to those desiring a healthy glow! With that being said, I am also passionate about helping others accomplish their goals. I so wish I had that when I first got started. The challenges I’ve faced to get where I am today has made me stronger and I can say, has made my brand successful. So many lessons I’ve learned- one valuable lesson is to keep learning and NEVER ever give up. There will be days where you just don’t want to do it anymore, there’s times when I’ve gotten frustrated because a order was not correct and because I strive for perfection it makes me want to give up- but nope, you HAVE to keep GOING. That’s how success is built. Because I’ve kept going, I’m almost ALWAYS sold out of my product line- Island Glow and I’m ALWAYS booked a month or two in advance. I want you all to know- The Brow Girl did not come easy. It took some tears, some humiliation, and some sacrifices to get here. If you can’t stop thinking about it, don’t stop working on it. Live your dreams!

I now give back by offering deeply discounted and affordable online courses to other professionals wanting to up their brow game!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I would take them hiking! I absolutely LOVE nature. Waterfalls, mountains, rivers, lakes, creeks, birds flying- just actually listen to your surroundings in nature. It can really bring you to a happy place mentally it’s you just LISTEN. Being in nature is my happy place and it’s available for us ALL! Let’s go!

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Believe it or not- I want to ShoutOut the previous companies I’ve worked for. If it wasn’t for them, I would have not got to where I am with my business and brand. Sometimes you can get so comfortable working for someone else, that you forget about building yourself own brand. Well, that was me. I was so comfortable working for another brand, and they fired me which FORCED me to launch my brand! I could have been bitter about it- but it pushed me to succeed and not look back! I’m forever grateful. I’ve learned how to be a business owner, what to do, what not to do and how to BUILD a brand from scratch.
