We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamyiass Brown and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamyiass, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I Pursued And Artistic Career Because It Has Always Been Around In My life Since I Was 5. I always like to draw but wasn’t a very good drawer. Growing up I would like to create My own little people with nice looking clothing. I Really Didn’t Think Back Then That Art Would Be A Career.

As I Got Older Music Was The Goal For Me To Really Pursue. I eventually grew from it when I felt music was over saturated and realized that the iphone 4 has made more money for me artistically than music ever made me.

I self-taught myself graphic design (Photoshop) around 2010 and It kind grew from there honestly. Just Seeing My Work Enjoyed By Clients And Others Made Me Feel As I Was Doing A Good Deed To The Community And World So Why Not Create And See The Smiles On Others Faces.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
The Thing That Set My Graphic Design Apart Is I Take My Time To Execute And Get Every Detail That A Client Need and Want In A Particular Design. Im Very Patience And Welling To Add A Little Finesse To The Design. I Noticed Im Growing More Into Vector Art, Such As Cartoon, Animated, And Pop Style Designs For More Clothing Brand. That Field Is Growing Every Day As Brands Along With Customers Always Want Something Different That Pops And No One Has Seen.

I Can Say I Got To Where I Am Today By Learning. I Take My time to learn or See where i made a mistake in a design. Its about trail and error when being in the creative feel. A design will never be perfect so you learn from those mistakes. Nevertheless, Just understanding software and Creating something you think you couldnt create is a skill that put you to realize “ i have come far. I Never Would Of Imagined i Could Create That”. I Love It

Being A Designer Isnt Easy At All. You Have Rude Clients, People That Want to many changes, And Undecided People. What I Learned from that is to take my time and patience with those type people. Its not always about the money but its about the time and the art that will represent your name when that design or project is done.

I would want the world to know the origin of my brand and name. Like i said Before I Wanted to Be In The Music Field Heavy. I Then Learned How To Edit Videos Before Anything and Was Shooting Videos Off an iphone4. The Growth From That Was my Name.
iFinesseDesigns!!! I First Learned Adobe Premiere Which Is A Video Program. Later on Down The Line A Customer Needed A Design and I Had to Teach Myself Photoshop On How To Create A Logo And Music Cover Art. Once I Saw How Easy It Was To Add Text, Manipulate Objects and Etc, along with Mixing and merging photos; My Mind was made up to this is my new career. Along The Journey Of Teaching Myself And Dealing With New Customers I Tapped In The Apparel Industry. I Have Alot Of People I Can Give Reckonition To For This. It Was Always In Me To Do Clothing Since 5 As I Stated Earlier. Never Knew I Would Be So Hands On From Learning Different Print Styles And Dealing With Wholesale Companies. I Find This Side Of The Creative Side Actually Easier Than Graphic Design But They Both Play Hand And Hand With Each Other.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Well With Being A Native Of Atalanta Ga and If It Was Up To Me To Choose The Destination To A Trip In Atlanta I Have 3 Good Things To Do.

First Place Is Kid Friendly And That is FunSpot On The Southside In Fayetteville. Its Where My Daughter Love To Go To Just Have Fun. I Grew To Love It For The Go karts. Even doe we could do andretti but fun spot is the place for kids and more relaxing to enjoy with them. Plus they have funnel cakes like six flags so it beat the long lines. (Lol)

My second place which is more mild would be main event. Who dont love a good competitive day of drinking shots, eating good food, and bowling. I think this is the go to spot to have fun and just the place to say i enjoyed myself. If bowling dont settle the score then there is always arcade basketball to see who would get the highest score. Im all for that to drop shots like curry as i trash talk the other person.

Honestly the last place i would recommend is tough to choose. It Would Have To Be The Little 5 Point district. Its So Much To Do From Check Out Different Clothing Stores, Little 5 Pizza, The Vortex, And A Liquor Store To Get Your Drink On While Chilling In The Area. Me Personally Atlanta Is A Small City But Its Built To Have Fun. I wouldn’t recommend a third place for real because we have so many attractions from coca cola factory, cascade skating, top golf, six flags, old underground atlanta, and some of the best restaurants in georgia. I saw the third place would be my friends choice.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Well I Want To Shout Out Everyone Who Have Done Business With Me.

My Next Inspiration Shoutout Would Be Graphic Artistic Chiworld. He Actually Was A Big Motivation for Me To Learn Adobe Illustrator and Create Cartoon Images Of Others. The fact he used his youtube platform to teach others show that the graphic design world and Art World can collab together and help one another.

My Last Shoutout would be to 3 Key People In My Life At The Moment.
First is My Dispatcher who I Call My Aunt Ms.Ebehi. Watching How She Handle Multiple Businesses and Execute Successful Events Is Motivation To Me. I Have Done Various Designs For Her As Well. The Fact She Recommended Me To Be Apart Of Shoutout Atlanta and My Work To Be In The Article Is Motivation To Don’t Stop.

My second Personal Shout Out Would Me My Mentor Ms.Romona Wiley. She Is Actually A Truck Driver Like Me. I Thank Her For Giving Me To The Chance To Work With A Lot Of Older Clients. What That Done to me is Showed Me Sometimes Simple Is Enough. She Has Been There For Me Also With Loaning Me Her Office Space When She Was Away And Keeping Me Busy With Apparel Creating. I Cant Thank God Enough For Introducing Her To My Life.

My Third Personal Shoutout Would Be To My Daughter Jade. She Is So Creative Herself. She Can Take Paper, Foil, Balloons And Much More And Create Clothing For Her Dolls. Watching And Seeing The Creativity i Passed Down To Her Is Inspiration To Keep Showing My Talent and Teaching Others Also. One Day I Hope She Get Into Graphic Design and Teach Me Things As The World Evolve.
