We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie West and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamie, why did you pursue a creative career?
Ive always had a passion for making people happy, whether it be to make them laugh on or off screen or even dancing with my music, there’ is something that just brings peace seeing other people happy.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I like to think of myself as a Triple Threat plus plus plus! Im a Rapper located in Atlanta while also being an Optician and I like to think of those two as being my foundation while my other talents as far as acting, writing and graphic designing helps me dig deeper into my imagination to create and bring my vision to life. All of those things combined are actually helping build my own project which is coming soon by the end of the year which I’m very elated about just because I’m so career driven by many things, i feel like you shouldn’t settle with just one. The sky is the limit right? I got to where i am by staying focused And never taking no for an answer because once you fill your head with no’s there’s no room to let the Yes’ help you grow. Its not easy but nothing in life let alone our economy is so you have got to work for it while staying focused Ive learned is that you have to be prepared to fall but its how you recover is what will get you far and prosper When the world see’s or hear about Jamie West i want them to understand that they can honestly make the best of any situation and achieve their goals by staying patient and focused And to realize that any struggle you may come by or pain isn’t what defines you Its what you make of it that does

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
In Atlanta there’s nothing to do here but eat, party, sleep repeat. Of course you want to see the city so downtown is where the fun is, The restaurants are amazing, different cultures and flavors everywhere, from Slutty Vegan to Big Daves Cheesecake. The fun doesn’t stop there, There’s literally concerts every night No matter the genre i know for a fact its easy to find your taste. I always recommend coming around the fall time because of the amazing light shows and fairs. Sometimes its to a lot to remember But once you’ve been here you’re practically trapped in a way that you dont want to leave

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Im surrounded and motivated by many but i definitely would have to say no one motivates me more than my bestfriend Mia Walker Owning two businesses one being a Local Nail Technician in Atlanta, GA and also starting her own Cleaning business. She is so passionate and dedicated and even ventures off into different hobbies and skills and it honestly keeps me wanting to push harder for my dreams never looking back always taking 10 steps forward.
