Meet Jamie Briscoe | Owner

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jamie Briscoe and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Jamie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I actually started a month or so after the pandemic! Everyone’s life was turned upside-down and because I’m a single parent and kids could not go to school, I ended up quitting my job in the accounting field to stay home with my kids. During that time, I cleaned my home everyday (per the CDCs recommendation) and one day thought to myself, why not put myself out there! I think it was God giving me the go ahead (a divine download) so I put an ad out on Craigslist and had my first gig within a few days. 2 months later I registered my business.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I think I set myself apart because I clean with care! I put my all into it and I show appreciation to every last customer. I am proud of the fact that I haven’t given up lol, it’s definitely not easy trying to run/grow a business and have a life as well as take care of kids but it’s rewarding to see my progress. I got here by putting my all into it, everyday I work on something different when it comes to my business. My biggest lesson learned is to not let people’s opinions affect what I want to do in life!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I don’t have much free time but I am an outdoorsy person. I would go visit the rose garden because there is a beautiful waterfall over there and enjoy a nice walk, hiking at one of the various parks. Turning Stone casino in Verona NY, lots of fun there and attractions (night clubs, shopping stores) and I enjoy Nolans on Canandaigua lake, it’s a wonderful restaurant that has amazing food and drinks.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
God, first and foremost. My children because they push me to keep going in life.

My mother because I’ve always seen her work, she’s always provided. So I wouldn’t have my work ethic if it wasn’t for her. And I would say, my ancestors because I’ve always felt that I was chosen to break a cycle and to do something great.
